How Italy Became the Final Choice: Darya & Andrey’s Dream Wedding on Lake Como

The dream of a destination wedding abroad, in Italy, on the legendary Lake Como, is more than just a passing trend. It is a desire to touch eternity, art, and dolce vita — moments that linger in memory forever. With its impeccable aesthetics, rich history, and unmistakable sense of style, Italy possesses a magnetic allure. It draws in those who seek not merely a celebration, but a deep, emotional experience where every frame, every flavor, and every feeling is infused with true romance.

For many, Italy is not just a country, but a palette of sensations — perfectly suited for the most important day of their lives.

And this dream, no matter how distant it may seem, truly deserves to become reality.

From Shanghai to Lake Como: A Journey to “I Do”

Darya and Andrey are both hopeless romantics. They love traveling together and taking long walks with their dog, and they admit that their greatest happiness lies in sharing emotions and experiences with the one they love.

Their journey to the altar began with an unexpected proposal in Shanghai. The choice of city was no coincidence — Darya speaks Chinese fluently and has a deep affection for Chinese culture. At the top of the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower, against the backdrop of the glittering мегаполиса, Andrey went down on one knee, giving Darya a moment that would remain in her memory forever as a complete and beautiful surprise.

After that magical “yes,” the couple faced the familiar question: where? At first, they considered a civil ceremony in Moscow followed by an intimate dinner. But it soon became clear that a story like theirs called for something on a different scale. They began exploring destination wedding options, and Georgia was one of the first ideas that came to mind. However, after reviewing proposals from local agencies, they realized that for a similar budget they could create something far more meaningful.

And then fate stepped in once again. When they came across an article about the possibility of having an official wedding in Italy — and on Lake Como, no less — they were instantly transported back to their winter trip to Lombardy five years earlier. Milan, Como — Italy had captivated them with its mild winter, extraordinary cuisine, and a beauty that stayed in their hearts long after the journey ended. Lake Como, in particular, left a lasting impression.

After seeing photographs from one of our weddings at Villa Monastero, Darya and Andrey could no longer imagine their own celebration anywhere else. Only Lake Como.

Ten Years Later: A Wedding on the Day It All Began

When the couple reached out to our agency, they were faced with one key question: how could they combine their dream of an official wedding in Italy with a date that held deep personal meaning? For Darya and Andrey, August 29 was not just a date — it marked the 10th anniversary of their first meeting. It was on this symbolic day that they wanted to become husband and wife. And we made it happen: the official ceremony took place on August 29 at the Bellagio Town Hall — the jewel of Lake Como. Ten years after their first encounter, they stood on the threshold of a new chapter of their lives in the place they had always dreamed of.

Their wedding day began with a sense of quiet anticipation. Darya spent the morning getting ready in a calm, intimate atmosphere with her stylist, bridesmaids, and mother. Meanwhile, Andrey shared his pre-wedding hours with friends, enjoying a small bachelor gathering and photoshoot. Later, the guests and the groom made their way to the Bellagio Town Hall, while Darya — accompanied by her bridesmaids and parents — took a serene boat journey across the lake to the ceremony.

Lake Como is known for its unpredictable weather, and that day the forecast promised rain. And rain it did: the first drops began to fall as Darya’s boat approached Bellagio, continuing throughout the ceremony itself. Yet not for a moment did the bride feel disappointed.

In Italy, there is a saying: “A bride who gets wet in the rain is a lucky bride”
(Sposa bagnata – sposa fortunata).

Darya and Andrey embraced it as a good omen. Their radiant smiles, joy, and the warmth of their guests seemed to chase the clouds away. By the time the ceremony came to an end, the sky had cleared, gifting everyone with sunshine.

The Villa of Their Dreams

After the official ceremony, the couple set off on a romantic boat ride across the lake, savoring their first moments as husband and wife. Meanwhile, the guests enjoyed a guided visit to Villa Monastero, one of Lake Como’s most iconic and picturesque villas — a place that had completely captured Darya’s heart. Later, the newlyweds joined them. It was on the villa’s legendary balcony, overlooking the lake, that a series of the most romantic images was created — exactly as Darya had always imagined.

The celebration itself became a true journey. From Villa Monastero, the couple and their guests traveled by boat to Villa Harmonia, where the wedding dinner awaited. On the terrace, accompanied by the sounds of Italian music, heartfelt toasts and warm congratulations were shared. The evening continued with dancing and cocktails.

Darya and Andrey wanted this day to be perfect not only for their guests, but also for themselves — with moments of privacy and the freedom to truly savor every minute. And they succeeded. A private boat ride, an intimate photoshoot at Villa Monastero — every detail was thoughtfully planned to strike the perfect balance between joyful celebration and quiet togetherness.

Here is what the couple themselves had to say about their wedding day:

“We truly appreciate everything you did for us. All of our guests — and they came from seven different countries — were absolutely thrilled and kept telling us throughout the evening that they had never been to a wedding that felt so much like a movie.

We are incredibly grateful and know for certain that without your dedication and the immense amount of work behind the scenes, this day simply would not have happened. All we had to do was enjoy the moment — which we happily did 😀
Everyone we worked with throughout the day was wonderful and highly professional. It felt amazing knowing everything was under control and done with such heart. We will remember this day forever — light, beautiful, and joyful — all thanks to you.”

Dream Without Limits. Live the Moment.

Darya and Andrey’s story is an inspiring reminder that true love can cross any distance and bring even the boldest dreams to life. Don’t settle for options that feel easier if they don’t spark something in your heart. Your wedding is more than just a single day — it is the beginning of your shared story. Don’t postpone dreams of a fairytale, especially when it comes to such a meaningful moment.

If you dream of a destination wedding, a celebration in Italy, or the magic of Lake Como, know that this is not just a fantasy. It is a reality waiting for you. We are here to guide you along the way and turn your dream into an unforgettable day — one that will shine as brightly as the sun over an Italian lake after the happiest rain.

A Dream Wedding in Italy: Darya & Alexey’s 18th-Century Castle Celebration

When it comes to a dream wedding, Italy is always at the top of the wish list. It’s a country that feels like a celebration in itself. Whether you’ve been there, only seen it on screen, or discovered it through books, Italy holds a unique kind of magic. From the eternal history of Rome and the refined elegance of Lake Como to the warm, home-like charm of Tuscany or the fairytale atmosphere of a medieval castle — Italy offers an endless palette of possibilities for those seeking not just a celebration, but an experience created with soul and style.

A Love Story That Began in Moscow and Continued in Italy

Darya and Alexey met during their university years in Moscow. When Darya was given the opportunity to move abroad, her choice was obvious — Italy, the country she had long been deeply in love with and where she had always dreamed of living. Unwilling to be apart from the woman he loved, Alexey supported her decision and moved with her. Together, they navigated not only life in a new country but also the challenges brought on by the pandemic — experiences that only strengthened their bond.

The couple decided that while a wedding may happen once in a lifetime, three celebrations are even better. They officially tied the knot in Rome in April, sharing an intimate ceremony with their parents only. Later that summer, we organized an Orthodox wedding and a symbolic ceremony, inviting their closest family and friends to celebrate together.

A Wedding Weekend in a Castle: Tuscan Atmosphere Near Milan

Darya and Alexey envisioned more than just a celebration — they dreamed of a full wedding weekend immersed in romance and relaxation. The perfect choice was Mornico Castle, located just outside Milan, a venue that seamlessly combines convenience with authenticity.

This 18th-century castle has preserved the spirit of historic Italy, offering an atmosphere reminiscent of Tuscany despite its proximity to Milan. All guests were accommodated within the castle, creating a sense of privacy and an intimate, exclusive celebration. The presence of a private chapel allowed Darya and Alexey to fulfill another dream — an Orthodox wedding ceremony.

The Orthodox Ceremony and Pre-Wedding Dinner

The wedding weekend began on Friday with an intimate Orthodox ceremony held in the castle’s chapel. Following the spiritual celebration, guests were welcomed to an aperitivo featuring a unique experience — sabrage, the traditional opening of champagne with a blade — enthusiastically enjoyed by both the newlyweds and their guests. The evening continued with a relaxed dinner, a small dance party, and time to unwind before the main celebration.

The Wedding Ceremony and Sunset Dinner

Saturday morning began with a relaxed pool party — informal and carefree, complete with inflatable floats and pizza. It was the perfect way for guests to unwind, connect, and soak up the sun without any rush or pressure. After lunch, it was time to get ready. While the stylists worked their magic with Darya and her bridesmaids, the groom and his friends enjoyed their own “bachelor moment,” complete with a fun photoshoot.

The highlight of the day was the first look, which turned into a playful surprise. Darya decided to tease Alexey by sending a friend dressed in a wedding gown to meet him first. The unexpected moment broke the tension and filled the air with genuine laughter, setting the tone for Alexey’s emotional meeting with his real bride.

After an intimate couple’s photoshoot, accompanied by the sound of a violin and surrounded by fields reminiscent of Tuscan landscapes, the main ceremony took place. A champagne tower followed, along with a more traditional entertainment program, and then a wedding dinner and dancing that continued late into the night.

There are many beautiful countries in the world, but when it comes to a true dream wedding, Italy offers a depth, authenticity, and effortless style that is hard to find anywhere else. This is not just a “wedding abroad” — it is an investment in your most cherished memories, a fairytale that will stay with you for a lifetime.

If you are dreaming of a wedding in Italy but don’t know where to begin, or if you are choosing between different options, book a consultation with us. We will help you find the perfect location — whether a castle or a villa — to bring your dream to life.

From Austria to Italy: How Daria and Daniel Chose Rome for Their Wedding

Photography: Irina Morina
MUAH: Yana Ermakova
Event Planner: @wowitaly_events

We are used to believing that we control our own destiny, plotting routes on maps and in our phones. But love has its own navigation system. It finds us exactly when we are ready — and exactly where we are meant to be. We can make wishes while watching shooting stars or plan years ahead, yet true happiness often waits just around the most unexpected corner — perhaps on the next street, or perhaps on the other side of the world.

From Novosibirsk to the Capital of Classical Music to Meet Love

Daria was born in snow-covered Novosibirsk. Thousands of kilometers away, in Germany, Daniel was growing up. At first glance, what chances could a girl from a distant Siberian city and a young man from Germany have to ever meet and create their own universe? Yet a few years ago, Daria moved to Austria to study at a university in Vienna. It was there that fate brought our newlyweds together.

For more than two years, Daria had been following our wedding Instagram account. She watched our couples and quietly dreamed of her own Italian fairytale. When Daniel proposed, the question of the wedding location was already decided — it had to be Italy. At first, they dreamed of sharing the day with their loved ones, but logistics had other plans: bringing together family from Siberia and Germany in one place at the same time proved almost impossible. That was when Daria and Daniel made the most meaningful decision — not to give up on their dream, but to make the day deeply personal. A wedding for two: their rhythm, their vows, and their Italy.

The Town of Tivoli — a Timeless Gem

The beginning of their family story unfolded in Tivoli — a town just 30 minutes from Rome, rightfully considered a gem of the Lazio region. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Tivoli feels like a living setting from a historical novel. The town is famous for its cascading waterfalls and magnificent villas once favored by Roman emperors and cardinals. Here, time seems to slow down, and in its narrow streets you can still sense the breath of authentic, non-touristic Italy. This atmosphere of noble antiquity and seclusion became the perfect backdrop for their intimate celebration.

The wedding day began in silence. We carefully designed the timeline so that the morning would be filled with calm and relaxation. While Daria was in the caring hands of her stylist, Daniel had time to enjoy an Italian coffee and quietly reflect on the words of his wedding vows.

Vows Beneath Ancient Frescoes and the Magic of Rome

The official ceremony took place at the Tivoli town hall, in an 18th-century hall whose walls are adorned with authentic ancient frescoes. The registrar’s words were spoken in melodic Italian, with simultaneous translation into German, creating a beautiful symphony of languages. Despite the absence of guests, Daria wished to preserve meaningful traditions: there was a wedding dance and the cutting of a white cake — their first shared dessert as husband and wife.

After the official ceremony, we headed to Rome. The Eternal City welcomed us with soft evening light. A photoshoot at Rome’s panoramic viewpoints is always pure magic, but that day had something even more special in store. Daria had a dream — to toss her bridal bouquet, passing on the symbol of happiness. We planned to gather a few random tourists on one of the squares, but the Eternal City had a surprise of its own.

At the very moment Daria was ready to throw the bouquet, an incredible scene unfolded right beside us: a young man dropped to one knee and proposed to his beloved. The symbolism was so powerful that Daria, without hesitation, approached and handed her bouquet to the bride-to-be — a gesture from someone who had become a wife just an hour earlier, someone who had only moments before said her own heartfelt “Yes.”

May your dream of a heartfelt wedding in Italy come true as well. And we will be there to help turn it into reality.

How a Dream of an Italian Wedding Became Reality: Why Eliza and Ilnaz Chose Lake Como Over Their Hometown of Kazan

Photography: Ksenia Palchuk
MUAH: Alina Agafon

Event Planner: @wowitaly_events

Italy is not just a point on the map — it is a state of mind. It stirs the imagination long before you ever set foot on its land. We fall in love with this country through scenes from Fellini’s films, through the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, through the poetry of great minds like Dante and Shakespeare. For many, Italy becomes the ultimate dream, a timeless symbol of beauty and romance. That is why an “Italian-style wedding” remains one of the most popular requests worldwide. We try to recreate this atmosphere through décor and cuisine.

But what if, instead of imitating the dream, you could actually live it?

When the dream is closer and more real than we think

Eliza and Ilnaz began planning their wedding in their hometown of Kazan. At first, the idea was to host an “Italian-style” celebration at home. But as the preparations went on, they realized something was missing. That was when Eliza started to explore another possibility: what if they did it for real?

After discovering our website, the couple understood that their dream of an authentic Italian wedding was absolutely achievable. They chose an official marriage registration so that an Italian town would forever be written into the story of their family. Lake Como, once just an image saved for inspiration, became the place where their celebration unfolded. Remarkably, it was the first trip to Italy for both of them. They were traveling to a country they knew only through books and films, entrusting it with one of the most important days of their lives.

For Eliza and Ilnaz, the wedding became more than a ceremony — it marked the beginning of a grand adventure: a honeymoon that led them through Venice and the Alps. They dreamed not just of a celebration, but of complete immersion — tasting that authentic lasagna and sipping their very first “proper” Aperol Spritz under the warm Italian sun.

A Wedding Day with a View of Lake Como

Their morning began at a hotel perched above the lake, near its true jewel — the town of Bellagio. From the balcony, an impossible-to-measure view unfolded: the deep blue of Lake Como and misty mountains in the distance. It was a morning of complete calm and relaxation. Before slipping into her wedding dress, Eliza chose a look for her morning photoshoot inspired by Monica Bellucci — a little black dress that подчеркed the elegance and cinematic mood of the moment.

Ilnaz did not see the wedding dress until their first meeting, which took place right there, in the hotel garden. After that, the couple headed to the Bellagio town hall, where the ceremonial words were spoken and, by Italian law, they officially became husband and wife.

For their photoshoot and the most intimate moment of the day, Eliza and Ilnaz chose Villa Monastero — one of the most beautiful villas on the lake. It was here, on a small balcony with a breathtaking view, that they decided to exchange their wedding vows. This was not part of the official town hall ceremony — it was a moment just for them. No guests, only the two of them and the lake, quietly witnessing their love. In those words, spoken at the very heart of their dream, lay the true essence of their Italian wedding.

Dreaming of Italy and trying to recreate the Italian style is wonderful. But remember: Italy is much closer and more accessible than it may seem. There is no need to build elaborate sets when you can travel to a place where nature itself becomes the décor. Eliza and Ilnaz’s wedding proved that a first trip to Italy can also be the most meaningful one — and that dreams of “that very style” are truly worth living out in real life.

Your story can begin here too. Because if you dream of Italy, it means your heart already speaks a little Italian.

The Road to a Dream Eight Years in the Making: Valeria and Alexey’s Wedding on Lake Como

Photography: Viktoria Vasilenko
MUAH: Lidiya Malinovskaya
Flowers & Decor: Evgeniya Kasyanenko
Event Planner: @wowitaly_events

Sometimes the line between fiction and reality is erased by a single, accidental frame. Many years ago, Valeria watched Star Wars. The iconic kiss of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé on a balcony, the endless expanse of water, and an atmosphere too perfect to exist beyond a Hollywood set. At the time, Valeria was certain it was masterfully created CGI.

Only later did she discover the truth: that balcony was not imagined. It was real, tangible, and located on one of the most beautiful villas on Lake Como — Villa del Balbianello. What began as a cinematic moment slowly transformed into a personal dream, patiently waiting its time for eight long years.

To Change Everything for a Dream

For eight years, Valeria carried the image of Lake Como in her heart. During that time, she and Alexey met, fell in love, and began building their life together. Their original wedding plan was familiar and traditional: a civil ceremony, guests, and a banquet. Everything was nearly decided—until chance intervened once again.

Valeria discovered our website and learned that Lake Como was not only a place for romantic прогулки, but also a destination for an official wedding ceremony. A dream that had once seemed “just a dream” suddenly became real—and even more desirable. Alexey fully supported his beloved, and the couple made a bold decision: to cancel all their arrangements in Russia in favor of an intimate, truly personal wedding day in Italy.

A Sweet October on Lake Como

They chose a hotel right on the waterfront, where wedding preparations felt less like stress and rush, and more like an extension of their holiday. They now had their own little balcony for kisses overlooking Lake Como, and the perfect atmosphere for their first photographs.

October on Lake Como decided to play along. Instead of crisp autumn chill, the couple was greeted by gentle sunshine and pleasant +20°C. Valeria and Alexey walked to the ceremony location—a cozy park right by the water. Their entire “wedding procession” consisted of just two of their closest people: Valeria’s sister and her husband, who became the only witnesses to this intimate moment. For family and friends who remained in Russia, we arranged a live video stream of the ceremony.

The ceremony itself took place on an open balcony, seemingly suspended over the lake. At that moment, reality completely aligned with the cinematic scene that once inspired Valeria: official vows, signatures, and the exchange of rings accompanied by the soft sound of water below. Then came a boat ride, an aperitif, and a course set toward the iconic Villa del Balbianello.

Sailing past views once seen only on screen, Valeria and Alexey were now creating their own story—no longer spectators, but the main characters. The wedding day gently flowed into a stroll through the park and ended with a cozy dinner. In every moment of that day, Valeria felt that her dream had truly become reality.

Looking at Valeria and Alexey’s journey, one thing becomes clear: you should never settle for a “just good” option if your heart longs for something extraordinary. Don’t be afraid to reshape plans and let go of templates. Dreaming small is easy, but only bold, seemingly “impossible” dreams have the power to change your life. Dream big—and we’ll help turn those dreams into real memories.

The couple’s words after the wedding are the best proof of that:

A Celebration Overlooking Portofino: Artemiy and Victoria’s Italian Wedding Weekend

Photography: Viktoria Vasilenko
Flowers and Décor: Evgenia Kasyanenko
Videography: Ilya Oshchepkov
Host and Music: Georgy Chkareuli
Venue: Villa Overlooking the Bay of Portofino
Event Planner: @wowitaly_events

Artemiy is a successful video blogger whose car reviews, model comparisons, and expert insights have long been a reference point for thousands of followers on YouTube. Technical, rational, passionate — this is how his audience knows him.

Fate brought him to Victoria in the most unexpected way — through an online game, where she revealed herself not as a delicate girl but as a true fighter: precise, bold, and decisive. Her character, confidence, and ability to play on equal terms with men impressed Artemiy so much that he wanted to meet her in real life. This is how their story began — light, vibrant, and wonderfully modern.

Why Italy? And Why Liguria?

At first, Artemiy and Victoria planned to have their wedding in Moscow. But then they thought, why not move the celebration to Italy? Many of their guests had never visited the country, and the couple wanted to give them a true sense of discovery — a “wow effect” filled with beauty, atmosphere, and emotion.

They were dreaming of something sunny, coastal, and picturesque — Italy, but in a way that felt different and unusual. That is how they discovered Liguria: seascapes that look as if painted by an artist, and the region’s famous cuisine with focaccia, fresh seafood, and its legendary pesto.

The spirit of Liguria is all about summer, freedom, sunshine, and breathtaking views. It was here that the couple found their perfect location — a villa on the coast overlooking Portofino, where they stayed with their guests for three days, creating a true wedding weekend.

A Civil Ceremony in Italy — A Meaningful and Symbolic Step

The couple decided that if their wedding was taking place in Italy, then the stamp in their passports should reflect that as well. Artemiy and Victoria’s wedding morning began with an official civil ceremony at an Italian town hall. An intimate moment, the signing of documents, smiles, emotions… and suddenly they were husband and wife under Italian law.

Return to the Villa and Getting Ready

After the civil ceremony, the couple returned to the villa, and the preparations for the main celebration began.

Victoria had a photo session with her bridesmaids and her beloved dog, Richie — the true star of the day. Richie posed, ran around, slipped into every frame, and added that warm, lively emotion to the bride’s morning that simply cannot be recreated.

The groom was getting ready with his brothers — sharp suits, laughter, anticipation, and support. And, of course, Richie, who managed to be everywhere at once, taking part in absolutely every moment.

A Villa Ceremony Overlooking the Coast

We designed the ceremony area to make the guests feel as if they were sitting in a theater, with the bride and groom as the central characters. Accompanied by live piano music, Artemiy was the first to walk out, followed by Victoria. This was their first look — they had intentionally chosen not to see each other beforehand. The emotional impact was even stronger because of it: Artemiy’s gaze filled with admiration and tenderness the moment he saw his bride in her white dress.

The couple exchanged rings, received congratulations from their guests, and the official part seamlessly transitioned into a beautiful photo session. The villa’s grounds are wonderfully diverse, which allowed us to capture both classic portraits and dramatic drone shots.

While the newlyweds were taking photos, the guests enjoyed an aperitivo on the terrace. For many of them, visiting Italy for the first time, this moment felt truly magical — a blend of flavors, sunshine, and sea breeze that created unforgettable emotions. Guests could not only savor the food but also make their own small keepsake from the wedding: there was a photo booth, a 360 camera, and an artist creating colorful portraits as souvenirs.

Dinner Under the Stars: Candlelight, Music, and Emotion

As the sun dipped below the horizon and the lights of Portofino began to shimmer, the atmosphere turned truly magical. During dinner, guests enjoyed not only Italian music but also heartfelt toasts and words of gratitude. After the cake cutting, the party moved to the dance floor, where the celebration continued until three in the morning — the perfect finale to a perfect wedding day.

Спасибо ребятам за доверие и такой теплый отзыв:

Pesto Party: A Seaside Celebration Continues

The day after the wedding, following a leisurely lunch, everyone gathered for a seaside party — relaxed, joyful, and filled with sunshine. Guests could swim in the sea or the pool, sunbathe, unwind, and enjoy each other’s company. A live band once again brought the atmosphere to life, moving between the tables and performing beloved Italian songs.

We organized a special activity for the guests — a pesto-making workshop, since Liguria is the birthplace of this iconic sauce. Pesto is more than just something green and flavorful. It is a symbol of the region. The guests learned to prepare it the traditional way, by hand, following the classic recipe. And of course, the experience ended with a serving of pasta dressed in their freshly made pesto.

Artemiy and Victoria’s wedding was filled with sunshine, music, the sea, the flavors of Liguria, and emotions impossible to forget.

“We wanted it to be something exceptional… a journey for each of you!”

A dream come true: the wedding of Tatyana and Danila on Lake Como

Photography: Irina Morina
MUAH: Lidia Malino
Flowers and Decor: Evgenia Kasianenko
Videography: Bogdan Samelyuk
Event planner: @wowitaly_events

For Tatyana and Danila, celebration and emotion are part of their profession. She is a model and performer who takes part in shows, he is a producer who creates these events. They met at the anniversary concert of Philipp Kirkorov, and from that evening their story began to unfold like a film.

When their relationship was just beginning, Tatyana left for Milan on a contract. Danila flew to see her, and together they went to Lake Como, to the town of Lecco. This is where their love story was born. Some time later Danila proposed in Dubai. At first the couple planned to register their marriage there, yet Tatyana could not let go of her long held dream of a wedding in Italy.

From a long-held dream to reality

For Tatyana, Milan is a special place. Her modelling work often brought her there, and once, during a trip to Lake Como, she realised it was love at first sight. Back in 2017–2018 she promised herself that one day her wedding would happen exactly here.

After the proposal the couple considered organising their wedding in Dubai, but fate stepped in. On Instagram Tatyana came across our post about a couple who had celebrated their wedding on Lake Como. She showed it to Danila and he supported the idea immediately. After a brief exchange with us all the decisions were made in just a few days.

“It was frightening to come so close to a dream,” Tatyana admits. “It seemed almost too beautiful to be true.”

A dream under threat

The preparations went smoothly and with inspiration. The bride’s mood board had been ready long before — Tatyana knew exactly what she wanted. An elegant, intimate wedding for two, a boat ride and a photoshoot at a villa. Everything had to be simple yet full of atmosphere.

But just a few days before the wedding the forecast changed dramatically. Heavy rain and almost hurricane level winds were predicted. Anyone familiar with Lake Como knows that it is breathtakingly beautiful, yet the weather can shift in an instant. By Tuesday morning we knew for certain that we could not hold the wedding on Thursday if we kept the original plan. In less than twenty four hours we managed to do the impossible: reschedule everything — the stylist, the photographer, the boat and even the town hall, since this was an official civil ceremony.

Dreams are meant to come true!

The ceremony took place in a park to the sound of a harp, tender, solemn and beautifully Italian. For their loved ones in Russia we arranged a live Zoom broadcast so their families could witness every moment and congratulate the couple in real time.

After the ceremony the newlyweds went to Villa Melzi for a photoshoot and then set off on a romantic boat ride across the lake. Tatyana’s sister had ordered a basket of Italian delicacies for a picnic on the boat, and her parents prepared a video message. These touching surprises made the day deeply personal and warm. The weather played with us throughout the day. Light rain shifted to sunshine and back again, creating a very special atmosphere. The photographs turned out beautifully expressive.

Heavy rain began in the evening and lasted all through the next day. It feels wonderful to know that we did everything possible to make this dream come true:

“The way you cared about our wedding and our happiness means so much to us. Thank you for that. Despite everything we all made it happen and our dream came true. This day became the starting point of a long and happy journey in our life together. Thank you.”

Thank you so much for your trust and for such a warm review

A wedding weekend in Italy with a view of the mountains: why Justina and Albert chose Lake Como

Photography: Irina Morina
MUAH: Anastasia Kataurova
Flowers and Decor: Evgenia Kasianenko
Videography: Vladimir Tsar
Venue: Villa Bella Vista
Event planner: @wowitaly_events

The perfect place for a wedding: where is it and what is it like? Every couple will choose something different. Yet sometimes a place seems to be waiting in advance for people whose spirit and mood echo its own. This is what happened with Justina and Albert, two surgeons whose lives unfold under operating lights and through endless shifts. Their work as an orthopedic surgeon and a plastic surgeon takes up most of their time. Each week they carve out a few evening hours for a family dinner. This time is their small island of calm amid the pace of the city and the demands of their careers. For this reason they value silence, open space and nature where they can briefly stop being doctors and become simply two people again.

Their first date took place in the mountains.

Justina is from Kazan. Albert is from Moscow. Two cities, two parallel lines that did not cross for a long time, until one day mutual acquaintances suggested that they should meet. Their light and warm messages led them to decide to see each other somewhere in the middle.

This is how they chose Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi. There, with mountain slopes behind them and a romantic candlelit dinner in front of them, they saw each other for the first time.

That date became the beginning of their travels together: Europe, different cities, seas, and once again the mountains. Later came a proposal in the Maldives, and from that moment the couple began to wonder where the perfect place for their wedding might be.

Why Italy became their choice

They considered Moscow and Kazan, their hometowns with the people closest to them. But the more they thought about it, the clearer it became: their wedding should not be about obligations, but about intimacy. About those with whom you truly want to share this day.

Italy matched this feeling perfectly. For them, “Italian style” was not about flashy décor or trying to impress anyone. It was about heartfelt warmth: when everyone at the table feels like family, when laughter flows freely between glasses, and when the beauty around you is created by nature itself.

Albert confessed to us in confidence that architecture has never really moved him. Neither the cathedrals nor the squares of beautiful Florence or majestic Rome can replace the simple landscape he loves: water and mountains. Justina felt the same. Nature is their element — the one in which they first met and the one in which they wanted to celebrate their most important moment.

Villa Bella Vista on Lake Como became the perfect place for their wedding. Its sweeping view is mesmerizing, and it feels as if the lake opens its arms just for you. This is exactly what they had been searching for.

A wedding weekend on Lake Como

The celebration was intimate, with only the closest people present and two days filled with simple yet heartfelt moments.

The guests gathered at the villa for a pre wedding dinner. Justina and Albert wanted this evening to feel less like a formality and more like the continuation of a family that naturally forms around them. Relatives and close colleagues met one another and talked about the details of the day to come.

The wedding day began with breakfast and the stylists working on the looks of the bride and her bridesmaids. The ceremony took place on a panoramic terrace. It felt as though the world below had paused in anticipation of something extraordinary. Accompanied by a violin and with a breathtaking view around them, they made their vows of love and devotion.

After the congratulations the newlyweds went for a boat ride on the lake while the guests stayed to enjoy the aperitif. Upon their return Justina and Albert opened the dinner with their first dance and then spent the evening surrounded by the people closest to them. As tradition would have it the celebration ended with dancing.

Thank you for your trust

Distance had always been a part of their relationship: work, the miles between their cities, schedules that rarely aligned. Perhaps this is why it was especially important for them to find people they could trust to plan a wedding from afar.

Justina admitted that she had spent a long time studying our Instagram, reading reviews and looking through past projects. But the decision came at the moment they first spoke with our team and realised that they had found the planners who felt right for them.

A Small Wedding in the Eternal City: How Krina and Yuri Said “I Do” on Capitol Hill

Wedding date: May 17, 2025

Venue: Rome, Italy

Format: A small wedding in a big city

Photographer: Irina Morina

Stylist: Tania Nitsak

Flowers & décor: Kseniafioriroma

Event planner: @wowitaly_events

“I wanted the day to be about us. For everything — from the bouquet color to the music — to tell our story.”

Official ceremony on the Capitoline Hill

Rome. A city where every stone holds history and sunsets wash the rooftops in warm gold. It was here that Krina and Yuriy decided to say “yes” to each other — officially, beautifully, and with that sense of taste you find only in Italy.

Both are aesthetes, inspired by art, architecture, and beauty in the details. Their wedding was conceived as a reflection of that taste: deep green and beige accents, an atmosphere without excessive pomp yet full of style and harmony.

“At that moment we realized we wanted an official ceremony. So that the passport would say: ‘Rome.’ It’s part of our story, forever.”

A day to remember forever

We arranged an official wedding for the couple on the Capitoline Hill — a place you can’t confuse with any other. This is where Rome began, the most important square in imperial Rome, and where Michelangelo worked in the Renaissance. Everything — from filing the documents to signing them — we handled remotely so the couple could simply enjoy the moment.

The majestic Sala Rossa, with gilding, velvet, and Renaissance frescoes, became the backdrop for their vows. Afterwards — photos on the panoramic terrace with views of the Forum and Rome’s domes, and an aperitivo with friends.

Morning

In Krina’s historic room, the aroma of coffee and gentle anticipation filled the air. Getting ready felt calm, almost homelike: makeup, outfit details, bouquet. In the next room, Yuriy adjusted his tie, peeking in now and then to share a secret smile with the bride.

The road to the Capitoline

The couple drove through Rome’s narrow streets in a vintage car, soaking up congratulations from Romans and tourists.

Ceremony

In the Sala Rossa everything was intimate and elegant: vows, signatures, the registrar’s jokes, and that very moment when you can read in the couple’s eyes, “We did it in Rome!”

Congratulations from friends and lots of hugs

After the ceremony — an aperitivo with friends on a panoramic terrace. Laughter, lightness, and frames in which Rome becomes the third participant in the story.

Aperitivo and dinner

In Rome’s green heart, guests enjoyed an Italian dinner: pasta with oysters, fresh antipasti, wine from family wineries. The table décor continued the wedding theme — green, beige, artichokes, and pearls.

Weather with character

The forecast promised sun all day, but the sky decided to add a bit of romance. The rain appeared three times, briefly — to bless the couple with a long and happy life together.

Why a wedding in Italy is your best choice

  • No routine — instead of familiar banquet halls and predictable routes, you’re in a city that inspires from the very first step.
  • Living culture — a morning cappuccino at a café overlooking the square, the chime of bells, evening jazz on the street — all of it becomes part of your wedding day.
  • A cuisine you can never get enough of — fresh ingredients, family recipes, and a presentation that delights as much as the taste.
  • Harmony in the details — architecture, colors, music, and mood merge into a coherent atmosphere where every detail makes you happy.
  • Legal significance — you return home not just with beautiful memories, but with an officially recognized marriage concluded in the heart of Europe.

Anna and Denis: Love for Dogs is a Must

Organizing a wedding with 20 guests and 2 dogs at Lake Como – this was the task Denis and Anna set for us. On their big day, they wanted to be surrounded by their family, friends, and pets. And unlike many couples who prefer to spend as much time alone as possible on their wedding day, our couple asked us to organize everything so that they would almost never be apart from their guests.

The couple traditionally spent the morning of their wedding day separately. Anna had a bachelorette party with her friends and two adorable dogs on the terrace of her room, while Denis said goodbye to his bachelor life with his parents and friends.

After the bachelorette and bachelor parties, three boats departed from the dock of Villa Armonia, with a short break, heading towards Villa Monastero. The first two boats carried the groom, guests, and dogs. The third boat carried the bride and her best friend. Anna wanted to truly experience the moment and feel that right now, in that very moment, she was sailing to her own wedding, cutting through the waters of Lake Como.

It was very important for our bride that no one saw her dress until the very last moment, so we had to take all possible precautions and hide the bride from everyone to keep her dress a secret until the ceremony.

At Villa Monastero, preparations were in full swing. Our florists were finishing decorating the open terrace where the ceremony would take place. The municipal representative from Varenna was expected to arrive any minute. By the time the boats with the groom and guests arrived, all the final preparations were complete. Guests were escorted to the ceremony site and seated. Everything was ready, and everyone was holding their breath waiting for Anna’s appearance.

Anna, in her stunning white dress, was escorted to the altar by the groom’s father. Everything turned out just as she had imagined – a dramatic entrance, guests whispering in admiration, and of course – the loving eyes of her beloved!

The official ceremony took place on a balcony with a view of Lake Como and the mountains. The idyllic scene was complemented by the sound of the harp – one of the most romantic instruments.

Usually, after the ceremony, congratulations, and group photos with loved ones, the newlyweds and photographer head to a beautiful location, leaving guests to enjoy a traditional Italian aperitivo. But not this time! Denis and Anna wanted to spend as much time as possible with their family and friends. After a 20-minute wedding photo session, they all went on a guided tour of the villa and park!

After the tour, boats returned to pick up the newlyweds and their guests. The first two boats carried Denis’ parents and the couple’s friends with their furry companions. The third boat carried the newlyweds and the photographer – one of those rare moments when they were alone, making romantic photos, enjoying the beautiful views, and sipping prosecco with light snacks.

When everyone returned to Villa Armonia, guests went to freshen up, and Anna and Denis went to change for the wedding dinner. Tables were set on the open terrace overlooking Lake Como and the mountains.

Candles, grapes entwined with pearls, large pink and white callas, daisies and spathiphyllum, fruit decorated with sparkling pearls – the festive table looked both delicate and luxurious at the same time.

The decoration of all wedding locations: the balcony at Villa Monastero, the boat the newlyweds sailed on, the terrace of Villa Armonia, and even the bride’s bouquet – everything was done in a unified style.

It all started easily and very Italian – with an aperitif for the guests. While Anna and Denis were preparing to head out, guests could mingle, write congratulatory messages to the couple, sign postcards that would later be sent through the mail of Italy, or take instant snapshots on a Polaroid camera. A special space was designated for these activities in the aperitif area.

For dinner, Anna chose a short dress with a large bow, and Denis opted for casual jeans and a white shirt.

And when it was time to cut the wedding cake, guests got a real surprise! Instead of the usual three-tiered cake with bride and groom figurines on top, waiters brought out… a white rectangle! It came with a pastry bag filled with chocolate cream – so everyone could write sweet congratulations to the newlyweds directly on the cake!

We then asked all the guests to gather around the cake table, and at that moment, the newlyweds appeared on the terrace, holding hands. And suddenly Anna’s dress lit up with a thousand lights, transforming her into a fairytale princess! It was a complete surprise to everyone, including Denis!

At the end of the evening, Anna and Denis gave their loved ones memorable gifts. The bomboniere, containing small bottles of olive oil, jars of Italian spices, and candies, were decorated with a label featuring views of Como, the couple’s names, and the date – August 22, 2024.

The celebration continued with energetic dancing to tracks by the guest DJ. (There was even a bit of “Ruki Vverh!” and classic Russian dance music!) And the coolest dancer on the floor? The groom’s mom!

The day after the wedding, the newlyweds embarked on a road trip through one of Italy’s most picturesque and “tasty” regions – Tuscany. And of course, their beloved dogs came along to explore the Bel Paese.

Girls, good night🌸 we just got home and the rest of our trip we kept recalling our beautiful wedding 😭💔💔🫶🏻 Guests are still in awe! They can’t stop writing about how beautiful and wonderfully organized everything was, how great the organizers were! I’m glad that Denis found you, you’re superhero fairies!🫶🏻 Some couples even asked for your contact, and we shared it without hesitation!))
