Symbolic Wedding in Italy

Vanessa and Evgeny: Wedding with Guests on Lake Maggiore

A few years ago, Vanessa and Evgeny met on the open terrace of a restaurant in Chișinău, and since then, they have never parted. When we asked the couple what unites them, they answered: “Cozy evenings watching movies, a love for good food and a good life, and also our dogs – Ricci and Ponchik.” So, this is true dolce far niente (sweet doing nothing) – the favorite pastime of Italians. That’s why Italy was such a perfect choice for celebrating Vanessa and Evgeny’s special day with their closest loved ones.

The couple wanted to make this celebration not only for themselves but also for their family and friends. They wanted to organize everything so that the guests wouldn’t worry about anything but could just enjoy the atmosphere. After all, for many, it was their first trip to Italy. On the one hand, the couple wanted Italian classics: decor in light tones, the lake, and mountains. On the other hand, they wanted the wedding to be something unique. So, we suggested a cozy villa on Lake Maggiore instead of the famous Lake Como. This green paradise was perfect for their wedding concept. Here, all 30 guests could stay together. They had access to a shaded park for walks, an elegant restaurant, and even their own beach.

The celebration began the day before the wedding. In the afternoon, some guests went shopping in Milan, and in the evening, everyone gathered at one table with a view of the lake. The pre-wedding dinner was a great idea to get everyone to know each other better and get into the festive mood.

The wedding ceremony was scheduled for the afternoon, so the day began slowly, just as the couple likes it. The couple had time for a swim and a few hours of men’s talks over coffee and more 🙂 The ladies were preparing for the photoshoot. The newlyweds had a luxurious room with panoramic windows and a large bathtub. First, Vanessa had an individual photo shoot in lace lingerie, followed by a bachelorette party with her bridesmaids and beloved pets.

Meanwhile, we were preparing the venue. Vanessa wanted a photo zone with a large mirror for selfies, as well as live music for the guests.

And then the hour of the ceremony arrived. Lake Maggiore shimmered in the sunlight, and the guests, waiting for the bride, were fanning themselves with fans. The groom was already at the altar, but the host did not rush to invite the bride – first, let the three-year-old girl, Thea, sprinkle petals along the path. And finally, to the sound of the violin, Father Nikolai led his daughter to the groom.

After the ceremony, Vanessa and Evgeny went for a boat ride on the lake, while the guests, following Italian tradition, had their aperitif time. They were served appetizers and drinks, and while the music band played, they could dance on the open terrace. Guests also had the chance to sign postcards, leave a wish in the guestbook, or record an audio message for the newlyweds. The host entertained the guests by teaching them the technique of sabrage – the art of opening a champagne bottle with a large knife.

The newlyweds opened the dinner with their first dance in the ballroom, and then everyone gathered at the big table in a family-style seating. Delicious food, contests, and congratulations followed one another. The DJ didn’t stop spinning the records, and the disco lasted until 4 AM!

WowItaly are the best! I am so grateful to you for our wedding, it was flawless and exactly like my dreams🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Thank you so much, you are the best🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 I enjoy rewatching the wedding gallery❤️❤️❤️❤️

The bridge where it started. The lake where they said yes: the vows on Lake Como, Anastasia & Armando

A Bridge, a Ring, and a View That Takes Your Breath Away

Photography: Viktoria Vasilenko

Hair & Makeup: Olga Goncharova

Venue: Villa Monastero

Event Planner: @wowitaly_events

Some love stories begin with a grand gesture. This one began with a barbecue.

Armando and Anastasia met at a friend’s house — nothing planned, nothing staged. Just an evening, a conversation, and that quiet shift that happens when you meet someone who matters. Neither of them could have predicted what that night would lead to. But something in that first exchange made Armando reach out again.

He invited her to dinner. And later, during a car ride through the city, he took her hand for the first time. It happened on a bridge — a small, ordinary moment that neither of them forgot.

The Kind of Love That Lives in the Details

Theirs is not a love story built on grand declarations. It lives in the mornings — Armando squeezing fresh orange juice before the day begins. In the evenings by the sea. In getting ready together before dinner, in mountain trips and quiet walks, in the small rituals that make any place feel like home.

When Anastasia moved to Spain, life rearranged itself around that fact. Armando’s world expanded. Their paths, once separate, became one. Family became the centre. A shared future stopped being a dream and became a plan.

And then, life brought them back to that bridge.

The same place where he first took her hand. This time, Armando was holding a ring. He asked the question that would change everything — and in that moment, both of them felt something rare: that this moment was entirely, unrepeatable theirs.

The Morning Before Everything Changed

Anastasia and Armando woke up at Hotel Royal Victoria in Varenna — one of the most quietly beautiful hotels on the lake, with the water almost close enough to touch from the windows.

Anastasia’s morning was unhurried and full of intention. Hair, makeup, flowers, the kind of stillness that settles over a bride when she finally allows herself to feel the weight of the day. The team worked around her while the lake outside stayed perfectly still.

Their first look happened at the hotel.

The moment Armando saw her, the rest of Varenna seemed to pause.

Villa Monastero

The ceremony took place in the gardens of Villa Monastero — a historic estate that began its life as a Cistercian monastery in the 12th century and has spent the centuries since becoming one of the most breathtaking places in Italy.

There is something about this garden that is hard to describe without standing in it. The lake sits just beyond the ceremony space, and the mountains on the far shore look like they were placed there deliberately, as a backdrop. The air is different here — slower, quieter, older.

Anastasia walked toward Armando under that sky, in that light, in that silence.

The ceremony was intimate and personal. Their story — the BBQ evening, the bridge, the orange juice, the ring — was woven through every word spoken.

After the Ceremony

Once the vows were exchanged, the afternoon opened up the way only Lake Como afternoons can.

A private Venetian limo boat was waiting at the dock. Armando and Anastasia stepped aboard, and for the next hour, the lake was entirely theirs — moving slowly between Varenna and Bellagio, with prosecco, the mountains, and nowhere else to be.

The evening ended with dinner overlooking the water.

The kind of dinner where the lake turns gold and then dark while you’re still at the table.

What We Carried Away From This Day

Every wedding we plan teaches us something.

Anastasia and Armando reminded us that the most powerful love stories are often the quietest ones.

A hand taken on a bridge. A ring at the same spot, years later. A morning at a lake hotel. A garden that has been holding ceremonies for centuries.

We had the privilege of planning every detail of this day — from the first venue call to the last dinner reservation. And watching it come together for two people who so clearly belong in each other’s lives was, as always, the reason we do this work.

From Seoul with love: the wedding of Jin and Jessica in Rome

Photography: Irina Morina
Flowers: Ksenia Podgornaya
Event planner: @wowitaly_events

In South Korea there is a lovely tradition: many couples arrange a separate photoshoot long before the wedding or the day before the official ceremony. Although this custom does not require any specific location or format, for many Korean couples it is a chance to capture the “before the wedding” chapter, choose beautiful looks and create photographs that can later be used for invitations or wedding announcements.

When Jin and Jessica decided to get married, they realised that for their pre wedding story they wanted something truly special. And they chose the Eternal City to give each other a promise of love and devotion.

Their story

Jin and Jessica met back in school and have been together for fifteen years. Every gesture and every look between them reflects care and tenderness. Watching them feels like watching a romantic Korean drama, the kind that makes you believe time has no power over true feelings.

“Fifteen years have passed without us even noticing. I still remember the excitement of our first meeting. Thank you for always being by my side, for supporting and inspiring me,” Jin would say during the ceremony.

Not the tourist’s Rome, but a personal and heartfelt story

The couple did not want the classic tourist shots. Yes, they were in Rome, but could they skip the Colosseum? Absolutely. The Eternal City has more than two thousand years of history and knows how to surprise.

We began the preparations with the most important detail: the place where they would stay. Instead of well known hotels, we suggested a palace. Palazzo Talia is tucked away in the historic centre of Rome, between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. It was built in the sixteenth century for the secretary of Pope Leo X and served for many years as a private residence. Today it is a small hotel that blends Renaissance interiors with modern comfort. It was exactly the kind of elegant, historic atmosphere Jin and Jessica dreamed of for their wedding morning.

A heartfelt ceremony for two

For the ceremony we offered the couple something other than a popular panoramic terrace. Those places may have views, but they lack privacy. The couple dreamed of a beautiful location, elegant and slightly elevated, where their cherished words would be spoken. And we found such a place — Villa Celimontana. This park is located almost in the heart of Rome, yet far from the noise. Under the whisper of leaves, inside a neo Gothic chapel from the late nineteenth century, Jin and Jessica exchanged their vows:

“They say love is not destiny but a choice. And today, tomorrow and in all the days to come, I choose you without hesitation. Every day becomes special because you are near. Your smile is my happiness, your dream has become my goal. When you are with me, no time or change can frighten me. Let us walk through life together.”

It felt as if the ceremony was not just a beautiful event but a true promise and the beginning of a new chapter. After that it was time to enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Eternal City. The couple drove through Roman streets in a vintage car, received congratulations and soaked in the sunset over St Peter’s Basilica.

Jin and Jessica’s wedding turned out deeply heartfelt. No crowds, no typical tourist clichés, but with a true feeling of Rome, its history and themselves. They will remember this day as their own, beautifully unique.

Wedding of Victorin and Valeria

Wedding date: May 5, 2025

Venue: Lake Como, Italy

Format: Elopement — just the two of you, just love

Photographer: Ksenia

Stylist: Anastasia

Event planner: @wowitaly_events

“You turned a storm into fireworks, and our day into a film we want to rewatch again and again.”

The wedding of Viktorin and Valeria: When love is louder than the weather forecast

The wedding morning began with rain. Fine drops slid down the windows, the sky over the lake was covered with clouds, and there was something special in the air. For Valeria and Viktorin, this wasn’t a reason to worry — on the contrary, a sign that everything was going just as it should. They weren’t waiting for perfect weather. They were waiting for this day. The very one when you just want to be together — without scripts or expectations, without a crowd or formalities.

Lake Como became the backdrop for their story. Laughter, vows on the water, a gentle breeze, the boat’s spray, Prosecco in hand, and the sun that finally peeked through the clouds. Nature didn’t get in the way. It played along, breathed with them in the same rhythm, and amplified every feeling.

There wasn’t a single accidental detail. Everything was honest and very personal. They chose to be together — they chose feeling over format. And in that choice, there was everything. This day will stay with them not only in frames, but in memory — as a story impossible to forget. And we simply helped it happen.

Later, Valeria would write:

“Even if it rained — the day was amazing. You did the impossible: turned bad weather into magic, and every moment into something eternal that still gives us goosebumps. We didn’t have a minute to catch our breath, and it was the best thing that could have happened ❤️.”

Minimum words, maximum feelings. Just you and Lake Como.

Do you also want to forget the format and simply be together? We know how to make it beautiful.

Escape to Italy from Noisy Traditions: Anastasia and Alexey’s Wedding in Sicily

Photography: Viktoria Vasilenko
MUAH: Lidiya Malinovskaya
Video: Bogdan Semelyuk
Event Planner: @wowitaly_events

They say that our sense of smell can easily bring us back to the past. We suggested that our bride, Anastasia, choose a special fragrance—one she would wear only during the preparation period and on the wedding day itself. Now, some time later, all she needs to do is open the bottle, and the sea breeze of Taormina and the scent of blooming orange trees instantly transport her back to that very terrace. This simple detail became the first piece in the puzzle of their perfect day, where every element was chosen deliberately, not “just because it’s tradition.”

The Perfect Compromise

Anastasia and Alexey’s story began in 2016 in Vladivostok—a seaside city that taught them to love endless horizons and salty winds. Over nine years together, they traveled across almost all of Asia and conquered mountain slopes, as winter sports play a special role in their lives. Yet the idea of a wedding remained on hold for a long time. For Alexey, who had experienced loud banquets with traditional rituals and exhausting games, weddings were associated with stress and performing for an audience. Anastasia, like many girls, dreamed of a white dress and truly wanted a celebration.

Sicily became their perfect compromise. Anastasia had always dreamed of Italy, especially of visiting Florence and seeing original Renaissance masterpieces. Alexey, on the other hand, valued silence and complete privacy. They decided to escape from everyone and create a celebration not “just for the sake of it.” Wanting a relaxed atmosphere with touches of romance, Alexey supported his beloved’s dream of a wedding in Italy. Together, they chose Sicily and Taormina—a seaside town, much like the one where their story first began.

A Morning in the Rhythm of Sicily: Relaxation, Jacuzzi, Prosecco, and No Rush

Their wedding day in Taormina didn’t begin with an alarm clock, but when the sun was already high in the sky. We intentionally planned the timeline to eliminate any rush. The setting was a historic villa with a spacious terrace overlooking the sea. While the city below went on with its daily rhythm, the couple started their day in a jacuzzi with a glass of champagne, soaking in the coastal views. Anastasia chose a light, airy décor palette—against the vibrant, expressive backdrop of Sicily, an abundance of white and clean lines looked especially elegant.

A Ceremony on the Terrace, Where the Only Things in Frame Are Love and the Sea

The ceremony took place right there at the villa. The ideal seasons for Sicily are spring and autumn, and in October Taormina still feels like summer—warm, but not overwhelmingly hot. Beautiful weather and breathtaking views create truly perfect conditions for photography.

The couple exchanged rings and deeply personal, heartfelt vows. Despite the “just the two of us” format, they preserved meaningful traditions: a champagne tower and a real wedding cake were part of the celebration.

After the ceremony, the couple headed down to the sea. Taormina is a city like a living film set, preserving the authentic atmosphere of old Italy. Strolling through narrow streets, they stopped at a legendary bar made famous by scenes from The Godfather. There, surrounded by traditional Sicilian mosaics, they enjoyed Prosecco and tasted the iconic granita, sealing the flavor and memory of the day.

Listening to Yourself Is the Most Important Tradition

The day ended with a quiet dinner at a restaurant overlooking the city lights. When we asked the couple what they would one day tell their future children about this day, they replied: “It was a romantic celebration for two—the birth of our family in a beautiful place.”

This wedding became proof that you don’t have to follow traditions if they don’t feel true to you. If your comfort lies in silence and your romance in the absence of an audience, allow yourself the luxury of being authentic. On this day, only two people truly matter—and Italy becomes the perfect setting for your own personal film.

They decided to register their marriage in Miami just a week before their flight. Quietly together they signed the papers and told no one. Not even Alex’s mother.

Only a day before the symbolic ceremony in Rome did his mother learn that her son and his bride were already officially husband and wife. She was overwhelmed with emotion. It was unexpected sincere and incredibly moving.

A ceremony on the terrace and a walk through the Eternal City

For their wedding day Anna and Alex chose one of Rome’s atmospheric terraces overlooking terracotta rooftops domes of ancient churches and a city where even the air feels more romantic.

To the sound of a violin and the melody of Here comes the bride Alex saw his Anna in a white dress for the first time. They exchanged vows gentle and full of meaning and then the moment flowed naturally into a meeting with their beloved city as their photo session turned into a small Roman adventure.

Anna and Alex wandered through cozy streets drank Aperol and enjoyed pasta and gelato. Everywhere they went people congratulated them tourists applauded and someone even offered them a chance to take a photo with a tiny Fiat because it was simply impossible to pass by such a beautiful couple without sharing the joy. Photographs laughter hugs and kisses their day was filled with the essence of Italy the kind that moves every heart.

The celebration ended at a scenic overlook with a view of Rome where the sun slowly slipped behind the horizon casting golden shades over the dome of Saint Peter’s Basilica. It was the perfect finale calm warm and filled with a sense of happiness and the rightness of the moment.

The story of Anna and Alex is proof that love arrives exactly when it needs to but always on time. It is brave unexpected and not even allergies can stand in its way.

When the Heart Chooses Italy: Sandra & Andrej’s Tender Lake Como Wedding

Photography: Oksana Savenchuk
MUAH: Lidia Malinovskaia
Flowers: Evgenia Kasianenko
Videography: Aleksei Tkachonok
Venue: Villa Harmonia
Event planner: @wowitaly_events

When the heart whispers the right direction, it never truly leads you astray. That’s exactly what happened with Sandra and Andrej. Last year, they were simply vacationing in Italy — with no plans, no expectations. Just enjoying their favorite pasta and Aperol. But Lake Como, framed by mountains and filled with its unforgettable atmosphere, stayed with them long after the trip.

And then — they discovered our Instagram, the photos, the inspiration…

“It’s all so beautiful. You don’t get views like this everywhere, especially back home in Latvia,” they recall.
And that’s how Italy quietly and gently became a part of their story.

A wedding for two, where love and freedom come first

Sandra and Andrej share many things, but above all — a mutual desire to move, explore, and live in the rhythm of the heart. Fitness, bike rides, summer swims, motorcycles, traveling — they’re equally in love with being active and seeking new adventures.

That’s why choosing a wedding just for the two of them felt completely natural. No grand banquet, no noise — just the two of them and a place that once found its way into their memories and has now become a symbol of a new beginning. The official registration with their families was planned back home in Latvia, while their special, intimate “I do” — just the two of them — they saved for Lake Como.

A terrace ceremony with a view you’ll never forget

The day began with a perfect morning — no rush, no worries, no need to hurry anywhere. Just time to enjoy the views and gently prepare for the ceremony. Villa Harmonia feels as if it was created especially for intimate, heartfelt weddings. From the terrace of the suite, you see the lake and the mountains — a view you could admire endlessly.

It felt as though the whole world held its breath when Sandra stepped out to meet Andrej. That moment when the groom sees his bride in her dress for the first time is always deeply emotional and incredibly personal. Then came the vows, accompanied by the soft sound of a violin. For this moment, they chose Andrea Bocelli’s “Vivo per lei.” And finally, the cherished “Yes” was spoken — and it was time to pop the prosecco. Cin cin!

Lake Como — the perfect backdrop for love

A classic touch, without which it’s impossible to fully experience the beauty of Lake Como, is a ride on a beautiful boat. Sandra and Andrej sat close to each other, sharing quiet hugs and taking in the familiar views. It was a moment of complete peace and happiness — the kind when you realize your dream has come true, and life feels truly perfect in these very minutes.

The photoshoot at Villa Monastero became the final, cinematic frame of their wedding day. Their photos turned out warm and full of life — like scenes from a love story film. Every curve of the terrace, every palm shadow, every stepped path leading to the water seemed to highlight their story — the story of a couple who chose themselves and their dream.

A wedding with heart

This day wasn’t about scale — it was about meaning. About the idea that sometimes a perfect wedding requires only two people who share each other’s dreams and are willing to bring them to life. And for Sandra and Andrej, everything came together beautifully:

“Thank you once again to your entire team for all the work you’ve done! 😍🤗
We are absolutely thrilled — everything was so beautiful, stylish, and heartfelt! It means so much to us that everything came together so quickly and so professionally! 🥰😁”

These words say everything about them. Because when love and true professionalism come together with a dream, it becomes the kind of celebration people call a dream wedding.

Karina and Sergey: Italian Luxury for Two on Lake Como

A new job always brings new people into our lives, and sometimes it happens that these people turn out to be kindred spirits. This is what happened in the lives of Karina and Sergey. Karina came to a new workplace, not knowing the surprise that fate had prepared for her. Here she met Sergey. They had many common interests, and the mutual sympathy between the colleagues grew into a real and strong love.

The couple travels a lot – Germany, UAE, France, the USA… Mostly for work trips, but both of them often wished they could spend more time on regular vacations. The most memorable trip Karina and Sergey took was to France. It was in the city of love, Paris, that Sergey proposed to his beloved.

“This city is my love, so such an event became even more sacred here”

Karina

Karina and Sergey wedding on Lake Como

Karina and Sergey wedding on Lake Como

What could a wedding be like for a couple that travels a lot? Is there a way to surprise people who have visited the most diverse countries in both the East and the West? Both Karina and Sergey appreciate restraint and elegance, and they like light shades in the interior, clothing, and the surrounding world. Big and noisy weddings are not their style.

The choice was obvious. Lake Como! This place is the embodiment of elegance and sophistication. A rich history, amazing cuisine, sparkling prosecco, and of course, nature that makes hearts stop…

I knew I wanted a wedding for two on Lake Como. Period. No guests, no fuss, no years of preparation. Just us, the beauty around, and a small support team. Based on these requests, I found @wowitaly_events.

Karina

On September 27, 2023, Karina and Sergey spent the day in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. The bride and groom greeted the morning of their wedding at Villa Armonia. This elegant 19th-century family villa is located near the town of Lecco.

Without hustle or rush, the bride began to prepare for the upcoming event, trusting herself to the caring hands of stylist Anastasia. After all the preparations, it was time for the meeting on the villa’s terrace with Sergey, who couldn’t take his eyes off his beautiful bride. Karina sparkled like a diamond in its setting, in her exquisite dress, which highlighted her slender figure.

The symbolic ceremony, with the exchange of rings and vows, took place right there, on the terrace, overlooking Lake Como, seemingly meant only for the two of them.

The newlyweds shone with happiness. And as a complement to this radiance – Karina’s sparkling dress and the sparkling prosecco in their glasses.

Karina and Sergey wedding on Lake Como

After the ceremony, Karina and Sergey went to Villa Monastero. Located on the picturesque shores of Lake Como, this ancient villa, which dates back 9 centuries, is the epitome of romance and elegance. Its feature is the lush botanical garden and exquisite architecture. The wedding photoshoot here allows capturing love and happiness in a truly beautiful and special place.

Afterward, Karina and Sergey went on a photoshoot by boat on Lake Como. Gliding over the azure waters, the newlyweds admired the surrounding views and simply enjoyed each other and the day. The gentle splash of the waves and the warm embrace of the sun created that feeling of unity with nature – in calmness and absolute happiness.

The day wouldn’t have been so special without little adventures. As Karina herself describes, her wedding dress survived several flights and car trips. In one plane, a foul-smelling liquid was spilled on the shelf where the dress was, in another, the cover and even part of the hem got torn. A quiet wedding nearby suddenly turned into a techno music disco. But in the end, nothing could affect how this day went for Karina and Sergey. In harmony, happiness, calmness, and exactly as they wanted.

The emotions of the bride herself speak louder than anything else. And somehow, it’s better not to say it:

Thank you so much for organizing such a wonderful day, we are absolutely thrilled❤️ The team is the best! Just wow 😯 Amazing photos. I can’t stop looking at them) I keep rewatching them 🥰

Anastasia and Roman: in sneakers around Rome

Anastasia and Roman: In Sneakers Around Rome

– What wedding traditions do you think are cool? – we asked Anastasia and Roman during the wedding planning phase.

– Ring exchange! – they confidently replied.

– And which ones do you not like?

– All the others!

Definitely, we were in for a very unconventional wedding!

No more designer floor-length dresses, long veils, and 10-centimeter heels! Getting married in a tutu and sneakers – this is definitely a dream for more girls than commonly believed.

Aperol for breakfast? It’s time to introduce new rock ‘n’ roll traditions! No more boring ransom or bride-napping!

For their romantic getaway, the couple chose the Radisson Collection Hotel, Antica Roma, located close to all the major attractions. But the hotel’s main feature is its rooftop with a stunning view, where we had their photo session.

Then, there was a trip to Tivoli, a ceremony at the town hall, where, in addition to Signor Giovanni, we had a guitarist waiting for us! Here, Anastasia and Roman exchanged unconventional wedding rings (Roman’s had the Pantheon dome on it!) and danced to the guitar accompaniment.

Once the pleasant formalities were over, we returned to the heart of the Eternal City. Anastasia and Roman were so natural and in tune with each other that they didn’t need to be asked to pose! The photographer simply had to capture the happy moments through the lens of their Canon.

The newlyweds simply walked around, drank prosecco, joked, kissed, ate gelato, and enjoyed every second of this day spent among the Great Beauty.

This cocktail of lightness, freedom from conventions, drive, youth, and love simmered in Rome on May 28, 2024.

The wedding day concluded with a rooftop dinner with panoramic views at the Settimo restaurant.

After returning from their honeymoon in Europe, Anastasia posted on her Instagram:

“For the most magical day of our lives without loaves and doves, thank you @wowitaly_events!”

Symbolic Wedding in Italy

Yana and Petr: Como Just for Two

Our couple completely disproves the common belief that people no longer meet offline! Yana and Petr met at a restaurant in Dubai, and the very next day they went on their most memorable date – a boat ride through the old town.

The couple started planning their wedding abroad a year in advance. Petr suggested the Maldives, but Yana wanted elegance and sophistication. Despite their love for traveling and having visited many countries together, they had never been to Italy before. However, they couldn’t resist the charm of Lake Como’s picturesque views and the famous Italian cuisine!

The couple’s morning began at a hotel in Varenna, Yana and Petr wanted to spend this day together without rush or chaos, so they enjoyed a slow breakfast, rested, and only then began getting ready for the ceremony.

When the couple headed towards Villa Monastero, unexpectedly, it started to rain. But in Italy, as in Russia, rain on the wedding day is considered a good omen. “Sposa bagniata, sposa fortunata” – Italians say, which translates to “Wet bride, lucky bride.” Therefore, it was no surprise that all passersby were smiling and congratulating Yana and Petr.

Fortunately, by the time the ceremony began, the clouds dispersed and the sun came out. The couple wanted to spend the day as relaxed as possible and avoid the usual wedding bustle, so they didn’t even write their wedding vows – neither of them doubted the sincerity of their feelings for each other. We took care of that for them, and our surprise vows caused a storm of emotions.

After the photo session, the newlyweds acted like true Italians and headed for an aperitif to celebrate their union with the most Italian drink of all – the Aperol Spritz cocktail. Here, they were met with a surprise – a mini-quiz with questions about their couple, the goal of which was to open a mysterious cryptex with a message.

Next on the agenda was a two-hour boat ride on Lake Como, for which Yana and Petr changed out of their wedding outfits into more casual attire. Yana chose classic style for the lake ride – a little black dress, and Petr wore light pants and a black t-shirt.

The day ended with a dinner at the seafood restaurant La Veranda dei Pescatori on the shores of Como.

Quietly, without haste, noise, or unnecessary fuss, by the shores of one of Italy’s most beautiful lakes, enjoying the beauty of the landscape, delicious food, and each other – their special day went exactly as they had wished.
