Daria and Ivan had long dreamed of a grand and beautiful wedding. Daria is from Kazakhstan, Ivan is from Russia, and they now live in Germany. They have been officially married for several years, yet bringing all their family and closest friends together for a celebration proved difficult. The pandemic changed everything and the event had to be postponed. When life finally returned to its familiar rhythm, the couple came to us, and together we began a journey that grew into a year and a half of preparation for their perfect day.

The location was chosen with intention. Villa Aura sits on the picturesque shore of Lake Como. Built at the end of the eighteenth century, it served for many years as a family estate, passed down from generation to generation. The care with which its owners preserved the architecture, the grounds, and the traditions can be felt in every corner.

This is why Daria and Ivan’s choice became symbolic. They decided to celebrate their day in a place filled with a living sense of family history and cherished values. It was the perfect setting to say “yes” to each other once again, this time surrounded by the people dearest to their hearts.

Bridal Morning: A Soft Pin-Up Moment Overlooking the Lake

Daria’s morning began with a distinctive touch. She chose a pin-up look inspired by the golden era of femininity in the 1940s and 1950s. High heels, a graceful corset, curlers, and a playful mood created a sense of effortless retro chic. The shots taken on the small balcony overlooking Lake Como became the embodiment of perfection, where nature, style, and emotion formed a single story.

After the shoot, Daria changed into her wedding dress, and from that moment the day turned truly magical.

Groom’s Morning and the First Look

The groom spent his morning getting ready with his stepfather, a touching and genuinely heartfelt moment of support that often stays behind the scenes but carries immense meaning.

We arranged the first look on the grounds of the villa. Villa Aura seems made for moments like this. Its secluded garden corners, stone staircases, and paths leading toward the lake create the feeling of a private park. It was here that Ivan saw Daria in her wedding look for the first time.

His reaction was sincere: surprise, admiration, and emotions that cannot be hidden. For a brief moment, the world seemed to pause, leaving just the two of them in the villa’s green oasis.

A Lakeside Ceremony and a Visit from Cupid

While Daria waited for the ceremony in her room, Ivan welcomed the guests. We arranged a small welcome area by the garden with refreshing drinks, light appetizers, and warm conversations. Guests were invited to leave audio messages for the couple and solve a crossword about their story, a heartfelt and interactive way to pass the time before the celebration began.

The ceremony arch was designed in soft white and green tones, a light floral composition that blended gently with the natural beauty of the villa.

The groom was the first to walk out. Then, to the song Young and Beautiful, Daria appeared, accompanied by her father, while her niece carefully carried the veil. The ceremony was filled with emotion. The host shared the story of how they met, and the couple exchanged touching vows.

And then came a surprise Ivan truly did not expect. A friend of the couple, dressed in a Cupid costume, stepped forward with the ring box, showering the guests and newlyweds with petals. It sparked laughter and delight and instantly became one of the most memorable and vibrant moments of the entire day.

After the ceremony, the family photo session began—warm, sincere, and full of affectionate embraces. The guests were then welcomed to a prosecco tower overlooking the lake. The clinking of glasses and joyful chatter created a festive atmosphere that felt like the perfect beginning to the evening.

While guests enjoyed the aperitivo, Daria and Ivan slipped away for a moment of their own. They set off on a romantic boat ride, a quiet and intimate pause in an otherwise eventful day.

A Candlelit Dinner Accompanied by Italian Songs

When the newlyweds returned, dinner began. The tables were lit with candles that cast a soft glow and created a warm, intimate atmosphere. Toasts followed one after another—heartfelt, sincere, sometimes emotional, but always spoken from the heart.

A group of Italian musicians added a special charm to the evening. They moved between the guests, performing iconic songs such as “Volare,” “Bella Ciao,” and “Mambo Italiano.” The guests sang along, clapped to the rhythm, and some couldn’t resist getting up to dance.

After dinner, Daria and Ivan opened the evening festivities with their first dance, and the dance floor quickly filled with guests.

Daria tossed her bouquet, and Ivan continued the fun with a unique tradition. Instead of a garter, he tossed a “bouquet of socks.” The guest who caught the pair matching his own would become someone’s future lucky groom!

Pizza Party: The Perfect Finale to an Italian Weekend

The next morning, the guests returned to continue the celebration in a relaxed atmosphere. For the pizza party, we created a space inspired by classic Italian charm:
• an ice cream truck
• a cocktail station serving Aperol Spritz
• a cozy lounge area
• a buffet with local treats

The centerpiece of the event was a pizza masterclass. A true Italian pizzaiolo taught the guests how to stretch the dough, add the sauce, choose the toppings, and bake their pizzas in the oven. It was fun, delicious, and wonderfully authentic. Everyone left with unforgettable emotions and a sense of having truly experienced Italian culture.

Daria and Ivan’s wedding became more than just a beautiful day. It turned into a full Italian family weekend filled with love, laughter, flavors, music, and memories impossible to forget.

The perfect place for a wedding: where is it and what is it like? Every couple will choose something different. Yet sometimes a place seems to be waiting in advance for people whose spirit and mood echo its own. This is what happened with Justina and Albert, two surgeons whose lives unfold under operating lights and through endless shifts. Their work as an orthopedic surgeon and a plastic surgeon takes up most of their time. Each week they carve out a few evening hours for a family dinner. This time is their small island of calm amid the pace of the city and the demands of their careers. For this reason they value silence, open space and nature where they can briefly stop being doctors and become simply two people again.

Their first date took place in the mountains.

Justina is from Kazan. Albert is from Moscow. Two cities, two parallel lines that did not cross for a long time, until one day mutual acquaintances suggested that they should meet. Their light and warm messages led them to decide to see each other somewhere in the middle.

This is how they chose Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi. There, with mountain slopes behind them and a romantic candlelit dinner in front of them, they saw each other for the first time.

That date became the beginning of their travels together: Europe, different cities, seas, and once again the mountains. Later came a proposal in the Maldives, and from that moment the couple began to wonder where the perfect place for their wedding might be.

Why Italy became their choice

They considered Moscow and Kazan, their hometowns with the people closest to them. But the more they thought about it, the clearer it became: their wedding should not be about obligations, but about intimacy. About those with whom you truly want to share this day.

Italy matched this feeling perfectly. For them, “Italian style” was not about flashy décor or trying to impress anyone. It was about heartfelt warmth: when everyone at the table feels like family, when laughter flows freely between glasses, and when the beauty around you is created by nature itself.

Albert confessed to us in confidence that architecture has never really moved him. Neither the cathedrals nor the squares of beautiful Florence or majestic Rome can replace the simple landscape he loves: water and mountains. Justina felt the same. Nature is their element — the one in which they first met and the one in which they wanted to celebrate their most important moment.

Villa Bella Vista on Lake Como became the perfect place for their wedding. Its sweeping view is mesmerizing, and it feels as if the lake opens its arms just for you. This is exactly what they had been searching for.

A wedding weekend on Lake Como

The celebration was intimate, with only the closest people present and two days filled with simple yet heartfelt moments.

The guests gathered at the villa for a pre wedding dinner. Justina and Albert wanted this evening to feel less like a formality and more like the continuation of a family that naturally forms around them. Relatives and close colleagues met one another and talked about the details of the day to come.

The wedding day began with breakfast and the stylists working on the looks of the bride and her bridesmaids. The ceremony took place on a panoramic terrace. It felt as though the world below had paused in anticipation of something extraordinary. Accompanied by a violin and with a breathtaking view around them, they made their vows of love and devotion.

After the congratulations the newlyweds went for a boat ride on the lake while the guests stayed to enjoy the aperitif. Upon their return Justina and Albert opened the dinner with their first dance and then spent the evening surrounded by the people closest to them. As tradition would have it the celebration ended with dancing.

Thank you for your trust

Distance had always been a part of their relationship: work, the miles between their cities, schedules that rarely aligned. Perhaps this is why it was especially important for them to find people they could trust to plan a wedding from afar.

Justina admitted that she had spent a long time studying our Instagram, reading reviews and looking through past projects. But the decision came at the moment they first spoke with our team and realised that they had found the planners who felt right for them.

Villa Monastero: When a Flight Attendant and a Pilot Chose Love on Lake Como

Photography: Ksenia Palchik
MUAH: Lidia Malinovskaya
Flowers and Decor: Yulia Della Bella
Event planner: @wowitaly_events

What are the most romantic professions you can think of? We believe that anything connected to aviation belongs on that list. After all, the love between a pilot and a flight attendant is a romance written between the sky and the clouds. Every flight is a new chapter. Sometimes turbulent, sometimes soft and cloudless, yet always real. He sets the course and she creates the atmosphere. He is responsible for altitude, she is responsible for lightness. Together they turn an ordinary journey into a story you cannot look away from.

This is the story of Yulia and Jean Marie. A girl from Latvia chose the profession of a flight attendant. A young man from France decided to become a pilot. And where did fate bring them together? Naturally in the sky. For them the clouds are not just scenery but their daily workspace. Distances are not an obstacle but a routine. This is what makes their love story even more beautiful.

A story that began in the sky

They work in the same field, aviation. Airlines, flights, connections, layovers, business trips… and somewhere between all of that their feelings began to grow.

Yulia is bright and warm, someone who notices beauty in everything around her. Jean Marie is confident and calm, the kind of man whose presence makes you feel safe. He trusts Yulia completely and she brings light and colour into his life.

They travel a lot, both for work and for the joy of discovering new places. Dozens of countries, hundreds of airports, thousands of kilometres are already behind them. Yet for the most important day they chose a place unlike any other: Italy. More precisely, Lake Como. The beauty of nature, the energy of the lake and the mountains all echo Yulia’s character and harmonise with Jean Marie’s calmness. Lake Como became their conscious choice, not accidental and not tourist driven, but heartfelt.

Two celebrations in one: a wedding and a birthday

The couple dreamed of a day without guests, without fuss, without a schedule measured by the minute. Just the two of them, their feelings and the atmosphere of a celebration that felt truly their own.

That day Yulia had another reason to be happy: it was her birthday. And the morning began exactly as a woman’s morning should begin, with a light and joyful mood and a glass of chilled champagne. Together we created the feeling of a beautiful morning in which every detail was thoughtful and every touch was both gentle and festive.

A ceremony at a villa with a view of the lake

For the ceremony the couple chose a private villa, cosy and filled with Italian charm. On the lawn overlooking the breathtaking view of Lake Como, a beautiful ceremony space was created. Petals, flowers, arrangements, light — everything looked like a scene from a film. Even though the celebration was just for the two of them, Yulia dreamed of a true wedding atmosphere. And she had it: a white dress, tender vows, a wedding cake, petals at the end of the ceremony, congratulations and emotions.

After the ceremony Yulia and Jean Marie went for a boat ride on the lake. On a stylish boat, with an aperitif, the wind in their hair and happiness in their eyes. Their laughter, their embraces, the reflection of the sun on the water — all of it created moments you want to look back on again and again. The perfect ending to their special day was a sunset photoshoot at one of the most beautiful villas on the lake, Villa Monastero.

The story of Yulia and Jean Marie is a reminder that love can find you in any airport in the world. You can see the whole world from above and still choose one single place on earth to say the most important words to each other — Lake Como. We will be happy to create your perfect day in this unique place as well!

Villa Bonomi: One of the World’s Most Beautiful Villas

In a world with so much glitter and noisy décor, true luxury isn’t gold and jewels. It’s the emotions that can’t be faked and the genuine feelings lived in every glance. It’s laughter over a candlelit dinner, hands intertwined while dancing beneath the stars, and the memories that stay with you forever.

Lake Como knows how to make you fall in love. In its blue mirror, mountains and sunsets are reflected — and in the heart, the most touching stories. One of them is the story of Aaron and Katerina, a couple who brought together the groom’s Irish roots, the bride’s Russian soul, and a shared love for Italy in one celebration.

Villa Bonomi, where time stands still

The venue for their celebration was Villa Bonomi — one of the most elegant villas in the world. Tucked among green hills with panoramic lake views, it unites architectural grandeur, the beauty of Italian gardens, and absolute privacy.

There’s no cold marble or cumbersome opulence here. Instead — the warm aesthetic of an Italian home, hand-painted furniture, details thought through to perfection, and a garden that is a work of art in itself. Panoramic terraces open onto the lake’s azure surface, and harmony and calm can be felt in every corner of the villa.

This is a place where nature and design merge into a single canvas, and every minute becomes part of a story you’ll want to tell again and again.

A love story worthy of the big screen

Their path began in London, at the legendary The Ned, where jazz and cocktails set the scene for their first meeting. The pandemic only strengthened their bond: “spy” meetings through Hyde Park, baking together, Zoom quizzes, and endless conversations about everything.

They discovered new countries together, but Italy always lived in their hearts — a place they wanted to return to again and again. The proposal came in Tokyo, in a secluded room of a restaurant in Ginza: glasses of champagne, soft light, gifts from the chef, and a moment that had everything — love, excitement, and a hush as if the whole world had disappeared. From that day, they both knew their “Si” would be heard on the shores of Lake Como.

Four days filled with emotion

Day 1: Welcome Dinner

An evening on the terrace of Villa Bonomi at sunset. Italian wine, dishes with nods to Russian traditions in a contemporary interpretation, heartfelt toasts, and those first minutes when everyone realizes something special is beginning.

Day 2: The dream wedding

The gardens of Villa Bonomi turned into a living Monet painting: gentle pastel tones, watercolor lightness, the couple’s monogram at the ceremony area and even on the ice cubes at the aperitivo, playful caricatures for guests, the sound of saxophone, an elegant dinner in the glow of glass and candles, and dancing to live music until the fireworks.

Day 3: Pizza Party by the pool

A DJ, cocktails, laughter, and swims in warm water. The carefree atmosphere of Italian dolce vita.

Day 4: Breakfast and ciao-ciao!

A warm morning, fresh pastries, hugs, and the bride’s tears — she didn’t want the magic to end.

For those who dream

A wedding in Italy isn’t a date on a calendar — it’s a journey you live through together. The story of Aaron and Katerina is proof that you can unite different cultures, beloved traditions, and stylish aesthetics to give yourselves and your guests four days that will stay in your hearts forever.

«Guys, I will write a proper thank you once we regain a bit of normality, but just wanted to say massive thank you. This is something out of this world, and everyone, literally everyone said that the wedding team has totally outdone themselves. You are simply amazing, and made this day incredible!» — a note from the bride, Katerina.

When two people from the world of IT come together not just to build careers, but to create a life side by side, it becomes a story of understanding and a longing for something genuine and heartfelt. Elizaveta and Gennady speak the same language — the analytical one — yet they experience the world in completely different ways: his practical, measured approach blends seamlessly with her romantic, intuitive one. And as Elizaveta admits, it is this very balance that makes their partnership so strong. They share a love for culinary discoveries, are passionate seekers of new desserts, and, of course, devoted travelers. So it comes as no surprise that the path to their dream wedding led them to one of the most beautiful — and delicious — countries in the world: Italy.

From a Local Villa to an Italian Fairytale

At first, the couple planned to hold an “Italian-style” wedding near Moscow and even began searching for the perfect villa. But one day Elizaveta came across an article about weddings in Italy — and everything changed. “Why recreate the Italian atmosphere when we can simply be in Italy?” they thought. And that decision became a turning point. Lake Como, lush greenery, the mountains reflected in the water, authentic Italian cuisine — everything came together to form the perfect vision of their day.

“From our very first call with Marina, Sveta, and Katya, we instantly clicked! Incredibly smooth communication and an absolutely professional team — that’s how I would describe our planners. Throughout the entire preparation process, we were in constant contact. They kept detailed checklists and budgeting documents, created a shared space with everything we needed, and guided us through every step. They supported and advised us while preparing the documents for our legal ceremony and assisted with visa arrangements for us and our guests.”

Looks Inspired by Quiet Luxury

Elizaveta chose an old money concept — a style of understated elegance where every detail speaks of refined taste and quiet confidence. The couple dreamed of being surrounded by water and greenery on their special day, and Villa Regina Teodolinda became the perfect choice. Intimate and charming, with its own private pier, the villa was named after a queen who loved to spend time there. What could be a better embodiment of “quiet luxury”?

Italy: A Week of Love

Elizaveta and Gennady decided that their passports should also reflect the place where they were getting married — Lake Como. And just like that, one festive day turned into a true Italian holiday.

Day 1

The official ceremony took place at the Italian town hall. The couple chose to experience this moment entirely on their own, so they met the rest of the guests already as husband and wife. They celebrated this milestone with a boat ride across the lake and an evening visit to a historic bar in Como.

Day 2

The day when the magic happened!

The bride’s morning unfolded gently — breakfast, meeting with the stylist, and a soft, intimate bridal boudoir session. The ceremony was planned for the afternoon. Guests were welcomed with refreshing drinks, live music, and entertainment. Everyone mingled cheerfully, filled out the guest book for the couple, or recorded audio messages for them as keepsakes.

And then, finally, the melody of Young and Beautiful by Lana Del Rey begins to play, and the guests see the bride for the first time. Elizaveta descends toward the ceremony area, feeling a touch of nervousness. But Gennady is already waiting for her there, dressed in an elegant white tuxedo — her husband, her steady support — and suddenly there is no reason to worry at all.

Everything flies by in a single breath. A heartfelt ceremony with one of the most breathtaking views imaginable. Then a light aperitivo and warm congratulations before the newlyweds depart for a romantic boat ride, just the two of them. Meanwhile, the guests continue to enjoy themselves. They will welcome the bride and groom again at dinner — and after that, everyone will dance the night away under the stars.

It was the happiest week of our lives!

“During the wedding dinner, as we looked around at the décor with the view of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains, seeing each other’s happy faces and those of our guests, we realized just how right we were to trust our wonderful planners. They poured so much effort and love into our celebration — we are endlessly grateful to them for that 🤍 It was the happiest week of our lives!” — shares the bride, Elizaveta.

And in these words lies everything one needs to know about their story. Because when a dream is brought to life with love and true professionalism, it becomes exactly what people call a dream wedding.

Symbolic Wedding in Italy

Elizabeth and Dmitry: Dream Wedding with Guests on Lake Como

When it comes to a dream wedding, the first question that comes to mind is – where? Elizabeth and her mother Viktoria were confused. It was up to them to decide which landscape would be the backdrop for the happiest day. Just in time, they received advice from a close friend: “No matter how much you spin the globe, there’s no place better than Lake Como on Earth!”

And then Elizabeth saw a YouTube video. It had everything – from the location to the decor, from the bride’s morning to the dinner with guests – perfect! It was our wedding that we organized in 2023 at Villa Bonomi. This is how it happens – you start dreaming, and the Universe already has the answer and good organizers for you.

Elizabeth and Dmitry had a church wedding in Russia. For many reasons, not all their loved ones could join them for this celebration, so it was important to gather everyone in an atmospheric place. The couple wanted their wedding in Italy to be remembered by everyone for its beautiful views and delicious, varied food.

The day before the wedding, guests began arriving from Europe, America, Russia, and Ukraine. The pre-wedding dinner was organized at the Grand Hotel Imperiale. Traditionally, they started with an aperitif on the open terrace with a view of the lake. It was an incredible feeling when people you haven’t seen and missed for a long time gradually gather in one place. The last to arrive were the groom Dmitry and his mother. Their flight was delayed, and their arrival was truly anticipated.

The wedding day began with the arrival of florists, caterers, and musicians. As soon as the guests had breakfast on the lawn, everyone needed to head to their festive duties. The bride and her bridesmaids were prepared for the photoshoot by three stylists. The young people were swimming in the pool, while the groom devoted himself to his favorite morning ritual – doing yoga with an amazing view of Como. Villa Bonomi and its luxurious interiors are perfect for any activity.

At Villa Bonomi 20 people were accommodated, half of the invited guests. The others began arriving after lunch. They were greeted with welcome drinks and seated in the ceremony area.

Today, the newlyweds are the main characters, so a small podium decorated with white hydrangeas was organized for them. First, the groom Dmitry walked down the aisle with his mother, then the bride’s niece scattered petals along the walkway. And then, the touching moment – the father leads his daughter Elizabeth to the altar. The ceremony passed in an instant. The final words are spoken, and to the song Sugar by Maroon 5, guests congratulate the newlyweds.

What’s a wedding with guests on Lake Como without a boat ride? While the newlyweds were cruising and taking photos, an aperitif was organized for the guests on the lawn. To the sound of the saxophone, they tasted various appetizers. Not only did they order Aperol spritz, but they also watched a full bar show. They wrote postcards, left audio congratulations, and simply socialized.

It was time for dinner. The tables were filled with flowers, and candles were lit. The host gave the floor to the guests, and during breaks between congratulations, he charmed everyone with his voice – singing songs for the newlyweds in Italian, the language of love.

When it got dark, the guests returned to the lawn where the ceremony took place. There, the cake was waiting for them. The evening ended with a performance by the music band and dancing.

Feedback from brides is always pleasant, but such words from the MOTHER of the bride are doubly delightful! After all, mothers always want the best for their daughters:

I landed in Moscow at night, and being so far from our fairy tale, I saw once again WHERE we were and what we were part of!Thank you so much, without you this villa wouldn’t have been able to surprise us so much, despite its luxury. Everything was organized at the highest level and with style (in Russian).

Marina, you clearly understood the task and idea and brilliantly implemented it with the help of your assistants!!! Huge thanks to everyone.

Viktoria, Elizabeth’s mother

Official Wedding in Italy

Anna and Denis: Love for Dogs is a Must

Organizing a wedding with 20 guests and 2 dogs at Lake Como – this was the task Denis and Anna set for us. On their big day, they wanted to be surrounded by their family, friends, and pets. And unlike many couples who prefer to spend as much time alone as possible on their wedding day, our couple asked us to organize everything so that they would almost never be apart from their guests.

The couple traditionally spent the morning of their wedding day separately. Anna had a bachelorette party with her friends and two adorable dogs on the terrace of her room, while Denis said goodbye to his bachelor life with his parents and friends.

After the bachelorette and bachelor parties, three boats departed from the dock of Villa Armonia, with a short break, heading towards Villa Monastero. The first two boats carried the groom, guests, and dogs. The third boat carried the bride and her best friend. Anna wanted to truly experience the moment and feel that right now, in that very moment, she was sailing to her own wedding, cutting through the waters of Lake Como.

It was very important for our bride that no one saw her dress until the very last moment, so we had to take all possible precautions and hide the bride from everyone to keep her dress a secret until the ceremony.

At Villa Monastero, preparations were in full swing. Our florists were finishing decorating the open terrace where the ceremony would take place. The municipal representative from Varenna was expected to arrive any minute. By the time the boats with the groom and guests arrived, all the final preparations were complete. Guests were escorted to the ceremony site and seated. Everything was ready, and everyone was holding their breath waiting for Anna’s appearance.

Anna, in her stunning white dress, was escorted to the altar by the groom’s father. Everything turned out just as she had imagined – a dramatic entrance, guests whispering in admiration, and of course – the loving eyes of her beloved!

The official ceremony took place on a balcony with a view of Lake Como and the mountains. The idyllic scene was complemented by the sound of the harp – one of the most romantic instruments.

Usually, after the ceremony, congratulations, and group photos with loved ones, the newlyweds and photographer head to a beautiful location, leaving guests to enjoy a traditional Italian aperitivo. But not this time! Denis and Anna wanted to spend as much time as possible with their family and friends. After a 20-minute wedding photo session, they all went on a guided tour of the villa and park!

After the tour, boats returned to pick up the newlyweds and their guests. The first two boats carried Denis’ parents and the couple’s friends with their furry companions. The third boat carried the newlyweds and the photographer – one of those rare moments when they were alone, making romantic photos, enjoying the beautiful views, and sipping prosecco with light snacks.

When everyone returned to Villa Armonia, guests went to freshen up, and Anna and Denis went to change for the wedding dinner. Tables were set on the open terrace overlooking Lake Como and the mountains.

Candles, grapes entwined with pearls, large pink and white callas, daisies and spathiphyllum, fruit decorated with sparkling pearls – the festive table looked both delicate and luxurious at the same time.

The decoration of all wedding locations: the balcony at Villa Monastero, the boat the newlyweds sailed on, the terrace of Villa Armonia, and even the bride’s bouquet – everything was done in a unified style.

It all started easily and very Italian – with an aperitif for the guests. While Anna and Denis were preparing to head out, guests could mingle, write congratulatory messages to the couple, sign postcards that would later be sent through the mail of Italy, or take instant snapshots on a Polaroid camera. A special space was designated for these activities in the aperitif area.

For dinner, Anna chose a short dress with a large bow, and Denis opted for casual jeans and a white shirt.

And when it was time to cut the wedding cake, guests got a real surprise! Instead of the usual three-tiered cake with bride and groom figurines on top, waiters brought out… a white rectangle! It came with a pastry bag filled with chocolate cream – so everyone could write sweet congratulations to the newlyweds directly on the cake!

We then asked all the guests to gather around the cake table, and at that moment, the newlyweds appeared on the terrace, holding hands. And suddenly Anna’s dress lit up with a thousand lights, transforming her into a fairytale princess! It was a complete surprise to everyone, including Denis!

At the end of the evening, Anna and Denis gave their loved ones memorable gifts. The bomboniere, containing small bottles of olive oil, jars of Italian spices, and candies, were decorated with a label featuring views of Como, the couple’s names, and the date – August 22, 2024.

The celebration continued with energetic dancing to tracks by the guest DJ. (There was even a bit of “Ruki Vverh!” and classic Russian dance music!) And the coolest dancer on the floor? The groom’s mom!

The day after the wedding, the newlyweds embarked on a road trip through one of Italy’s most picturesque and “tasty” regions – Tuscany. And of course, their beloved dogs came along to explore the Bel Paese.

Girls, good night🌸 we just got home and the rest of our trip we kept recalling our beautiful wedding 😭💔💔🫶🏻 Guests are still in awe! They can’t stop writing about how beautiful and wonderfully organized everything was, how great the organizers were! I’m glad that Denis found you, you’re superhero fairies!🫶🏻 Some couples even asked for your contact, and we shared it without hesitation!))

Nelly and Stas: Wedding on Lake Como in Old Money Style

Every couple planning to get married asks the same question: “What is our dream wedding like?” Sometimes, the source of inspiration can be found in an unexpected place.

While planning their wedding, Nelly and Stas initially couldn’t imagine how or where this important day for them should take place. Nelly started collecting moodboards (from English moodboard – mood board) on Pinterest and later noticed that almost all the selected photos were connected to the same location – Lake Como in Italy.

In winter 2022, Nelly and Stas went to the lake to celebrate New Year’s with friends and also to see if this place was “the one.” The reality fully matched their expectations – they literally fell in love with Como and its atmosphere. From that moment, there were no more doubts, and preparations for the wedding began, lasting almost a year.

Nelly shared their wedding day in Old Money style on Lake Como with one of the leading wedding media, Weddywood. The full text is on the website Weddywood, here we’ve collected the main moments of Nelly’s story.

To make their dream come true, the couple contacted WowItaly. The agency is based in Italy and can coordinate the work of local vendors, handle all the organizational tasks, and give the newlyweds the chance to fully enjoy the moment of happiness on their wedding day.

Venue

The venue chosen was Hotel Villa Cipressi, located near the picturesque town of Varenna.

Villa Cipressi is a historic hotel with stunning views of the central part of Lake Como, known not only for its elegant architecture but also for its lush botanical garden. It is the perfect place for those who prefer a peaceful and quiet atmosphere in nature.

Wedding Style and Color Concept

The couple chose the Old Money style, which embodies the timeless nature of classics and the sophistication of luxury, without the hustle and bustle or chasing fleeting whims of fashion. The Old Money aesthetic implies elegance in every detail, with simple and concise design. Main colors: white, powder, beige, and for men – classic black.

Bride’s look (Dress #1): A voluminous mikado fabric gown with a long train.

Bride’s look (Dress #2): A figure-hugging dress embellished with feathers.

Custom-designed jewelry: OlgaDelice.

Bride’s shoes: Jimmy Choo.

Groom’s look: Henderson tuxedo.

Wedding Ceremony and Photoshoot

The wedding ceremony took place in the botanical garden of Villa Cipressi, with the natural beauty of Lake Como as the backdrop for exchanging vows. The place also stood out for its intimacy, which was perfect for a private event with guests. The ceremony was conducted by a close friend of Nelly and Stas, who chose such touching and heartfelt words that it was hard for the couple to hold back tears.

After the ceremony, Nelly and Stas opened a Prosecco pyramid for the aperitif under the music from “The Great Gatsby.” Following the classic tradition, while the guests relaxed, mingled, and enjoyed the aperitif, the newlyweds went for a photoshoot stroll around the lake.

A Special Detail of the Wedding

The couple added an unexpected bright accent to the restrained Old Money concept. At the end of the evening, Nelly and Stas danced not the classic waltz but a sensual tango. Nelly wore a stunning scarlet figure-hugging dress, while Stas wore a black silk shirt. The dance choreography itself brought Nelly and Stas joy as it included complex elements and lifts.

The wedding day reflected the different facets of this extraordinary and passionately loving couple, which was appreciated by both them and their guests.

This incredible experience showed us that even the boldest dreams are possible!

Symbolic Wedding in Italy

Opera d'Amore of Kristina and Andrey: A Wedding with Guests on Lake Como

As William Shakespeare wrote, “All the world’s a stage.” In this world, everything that happens by chance is not truly accidental if the role is destined by fate itself.

One of many working days. Lunch break, business lunch. Everything would have been usual for Andrey, if not for… a girl of stunning beauty and grace nearby. Andrey couldn’t take his admiring eyes off her, and at the end of lunch, he asked for her phone number.

It turned out the girl’s name was Kristina. Just one year after their accidental meeting, she became his wife.

Kristina and Andrey began preparing for their wedding in February 2023, six months before the ceremony. This is quite a short time for an international wedding – with guests, entertainment, and decorations. Usually, weddings like this are organized at least a year in advance, but the couple turned to the WowItaly team, for whom even the impossible becomes possible.

Wedding Concept and Preparation

Kristina and Andrey share a deep passion for theater and opera. And so the concept of the wedding came naturally – Opera d’Amore: an opera of love, combining various art forms – music, singing, ballet, painting. For Kristina and Andrey’s wedding, the team personally selected ballerinas, some of whom had performed at the Bolshoi Theatre!

Much attention was also given to the musical accompaniment. Singers and musicians, with their songs and melodies, were meant to set the overall romantic tone for the celebration.

Wedding decorations also matched the overall concept. On the lawn of Villa Bonomi with a view of Lake Como, a podium was set up with an arch decorated with white flowers. The special feature of the podium was a mirrored aisle, and the entire setup resembled a stage where the main characters of the wedding performance – the bride and groom – would shine.

It took 3 days to set up the decorations and install all the necessary equipment. Meticulous preparation and careful organization – the team did everything to ensure Kristina and Andrey’s celebration went at the highest level and was worthy of the loudest applause!

The Day Before the Wedding

The day before the wedding, Kristina and Andrey and their guests checked into Villa Bonomi. In the evening, a pre-wedding dinner took place at the fashionable restaurant il Gatto Nero. This restaurant, located in Cernobbio, offers exquisite dishes accompanied by Italian wines and a stunning view of Lake Como.

The pre-wedding dinner is a good tradition, allowing the future newlyweds and their guests to gather together the night before the wedding day. It’s an opportunity to chat in a warm, informal atmosphere and set a joyful, anticipatory tone for the main event.

Wedding Day. Anticipating the Ceremony

September 8, 2023. A date that will forever be woven into the story of Kristina and Andrey. A special day to celebrate their love and shared happiness!

The morning at Villa Bonomi began with the traditional preparations for the bride and groom. In the morning photoshoot amidst the luxurious historical interiors of the villa, Kristina looked charming and playful in her white suit.

The bridesmaids wore the same suits, but in champagne tones, and joined Kristina. The bachelorette party was full of smiles, light conversations, and refreshing sparkling wine. The girls had fun, chatted, and relaxed in a casual atmosphere by the pool.

Andrey’s friends also gathered for the bachelor party to share the joy of the upcoming event with the groom. The day promised to be hot, and indeed, the weather for the second week of September was pleasantly warm. A glass of whiskey with ice was just what was needed to refresh the male guests before the ceremony.

Guests at the Wedding

About 30 guests attended Kristina and Andrey’s wedding, including friends, family, and loved ones. Accommodation, transfer, aperitifs, snacks, and entertainment were organized for the guests during the wait for the newlyweds’ photoshoot. Makeup and hairstyling by a professional stylist were provided not only for the bride but for all the guests as well.

The impressions of the guests were just as important as the audience’s reactions to a performance, and the team made sure to surround everyone with care and attention.

Wedding Ceremony

Every detail was carefully planned to reflect the bride and groom’s passion for theatrical arts and to support the overall concept of the wedding.

An hour before the ceremony, ballerinas and violinists in white costumes greeted the guests in the “foyer” at the entrance to the venue. Guests were handed invites to the “Opera of Love,” with a seating arrangement like a theater ticket.

While waiting for the ceremony, guests enjoyed an aperitif and a light entertainment program hosted by a Russian-speaking MC, with opportunities to take photos with the ballerinas or in the retro car salon.

The theater is full; the boxes are shining; the stalls and chairs are bubbling…

“Eugene Onegin,” A.S. Pushkin

Everyone was of course waiting for the main event of the day. Three bells, as in a theater, signaled the start of the ceremony. The third bell rang, and all the guests gathered in the “auditorium.” Each guest had a fan on their chair – a tribute not only to theater tradition, as it was indeed a hot +30-degree day.

The backdrop for the ceremony was the best decoration that could exist – Lake Como itself. The groom, already standing at the arch and anticipating the appearance of his bride, was of course the most nervous. Soon both of them would play new roles – husband and wife.

And then she appeared – Kristina. Dazzlingly, stunningly beautiful in her wedding dress!

The bride walked arm in arm with her brother, with her train and dress helped by the ballerinas. The ceremony was conducted by two MCs in two languages – Russian and Italian, the language of love. The bride and groom exchanged rings and vows, sealing them with a kiss. When Kristina and Andrey, now together as husband and wife, walked down the mirrored aisle, the guests, in Italian tradition, showered them with rose petals.

After the Ceremony. Newlyweds Photoshoot and Entertainment Program for Guests

Intermission! After the ceremony, the newlyweds and guests were greeted by a “champagne tower,” with sparkling wine pouring like a waterfall. And here, the WowItaly team prepared their first surprise for Kristina and Andrey. The Italian MC turned out to be not just an MC, but a real tenor singer! He dedicated his song in Italian to the newlyweds and their love.

The newlyweds went on a photoshoot to capture memories of the day – just the two of them now. The classic combination: a retro car and a boat ride on Lake Como. But what could be better than elegant classics? Any theater lover will tell you this when choosing a classic play over an avant-garde production.

While waiting for Kristina and Andrey’s return from the photoshoot, guests relaxed on the green lawn, enjoying the views of Lake Como, sparkling wine, and appetizers. A light entertainment program was organized for them. A musician sang songs on the guitar, a caricaturist drew amusing portraits of the guests, and ballerinas posed for photos with anyone wishing to experience the atmosphere of the Bolshoi Theatre on Lake Como.

A photo zone was set up where everyone could take photos with a Polaroid and take their picture home. A “love mail” was available with pre-prepared envelopes, postcards, and stamps: guests could send congratulations to Kristina and Andrey or even send a “hello” to themselves from sunny Italy.

Wedding Dinner

The newlyweds and their guests gathered again to spend time together at an outdoor dinner. The tables were elegantly decorated with flowers and white tablecloths. The highlight of the wedding décor were the floating crystal chandeliers above the tables, reminiscent of the interiors of theatrical halls with their luxurious chandeliers.

The MC led the program, allowing guests to make toasts and even sing songs in honor of the newlyweds. Throughout the dinner, there was live music, an orchestra played, and singers performed. The ballerinas amazed everyone with their grace and skill, performing well-known ballet numbers from “Swan Lake” and “Carmen.”

Wedding Cake and Culmination of the Day

When the evening came and the lights came on, the guests returned to the lawn where the ceremony took place and where the “wedding stage” with the mirrored aisle had been set up. Cutting the wedding cake marked the culmination of this joyful and eventful day. And again, Kristina and Andrey were in for a delightful surprise. At the moment of cutting the cake, fireworks fountains went off, and glowing butterflies emerged. A fireworks show of emotions in both literal and metaphorical senses!

As in a theater, at the end of the performance, the lights on stage get brighter, and the actors come out for an encore under the applause of the audience, so the heroes of the wedding day – Kristina and Andrey – walked down the mirrored aisle in the glow of sparklers held by their guests. Then, the guests followed the newlyweds with sparklers in their hands. Each received an impressive photo on the mirrored aisle.

According to Italian tradition, gifts (bomboniere) were prepared for the guests: limoncello in a beautiful ceramic vessel and a box of candies – a sweet reminder of this warm day, September 8, 2023. The evening concluded with dancing and merrymaking until late at night.

Kristina and Andrey’s wedding became an unforgettable performance, played to perfection from beginning to end. Each guest experienced a double magic – of art and true love, and the newlyweds shone like stars on stage. The celebration was truly a WOW event, organized by the professional team at WowItaly.

May Kristina and Andrey’s life continue to be filled with light, happiness, bright moments, love, and joyful laughter – just like this day, September 8, 2023!

Villa Melzi: When Your Dream Comes True

For Tatyana and Danila, celebration and emotion are part of their profession. She is a model and performer who takes part in shows, he is a producer who creates these events. They met at the anniversary concert of Philipp Kirkorov, and from that evening their story began to unfold like a film.

When their relationship was just beginning, Tatyana left for Milan on a contract. Danila flew to see her, and together they went to Lake Como, to the town of Lecco. This is where their love story was born. Some time later Danila proposed in Dubai. At first the couple planned to register their marriage there, yet Tatyana could not let go of her long held dream of a wedding in Italy.

From a long-held dream to reality

For Tatyana, Milan is a special place. Her modelling work often brought her there, and once, during a trip to Lake Como, she realised it was love at first sight. Back in 2017–2018 she promised herself that one day her wedding would happen exactly here.

After the proposal the couple considered organising their wedding in Dubai, but fate stepped in. On Instagram Tatyana came across our post about a couple who had celebrated their wedding on Lake Como. She showed it to Danila and he supported the idea immediately. After a brief exchange with us all the decisions were made in just a few days.

“It was frightening to come so close to a dream,” Tatyana admits. “It seemed almost too beautiful to be true.”

A dream under threat

The preparations went smoothly and with inspiration. The bride’s mood board had been ready long before — Tatyana knew exactly what she wanted. An elegant, intimate wedding for two, a boat ride and a photoshoot at a villa. Everything had to be simple yet full of atmosphere.

But just a few days before the wedding the forecast changed dramatically. Heavy rain and almost hurricane level winds were predicted. Anyone familiar with Lake Como knows that it is breathtakingly beautiful, yet the weather can shift in an instant. By Tuesday morning we knew for certain that we could not hold the wedding on Thursday if we kept the original plan. In less than twenty four hours we managed to do the impossible: reschedule everything — the stylist, the photographer, the boat and even the town hall, since this was an official civil ceremony.

Dreams are meant to come true!

The ceremony took place in a park to the sound of a harp, tender, solemn and beautifully Italian. For their loved ones in Russia we arranged a live Zoom broadcast so their families could witness every moment and congratulate the couple in real time.

After the ceremony the newlyweds went to Villa Melzi for a photoshoot and then set off on a romantic boat ride across the lake. Tatyana’s sister had ordered a basket of Italian delicacies for a picnic on the boat, and her parents prepared a video message. These touching surprises made the day deeply personal and warm. The weather played with us throughout the day. Light rain shifted to sunshine and back again, creating a very special atmosphere. The photographs turned out beautifully expressive.

Heavy rain began in the evening and lasted all through the next day. It feels wonderful to know that we did everything possible to make this dream come true:

“The way you cared about our wedding and our happiness means so much to us. Thank you for that. Despite everything we all made it happen and our dream came true. This day became the starting point of a long and happy journey in our life together. Thank you.”

Thank you so much for your trust and for such a warm review
