Margo and Yaroslav decided to get married in Russia, but hold a symbolic ceremony for just the two of them in Italy, so that the very next day they could set off on their honeymoon across Europe. The groom and bride’s morning began in a room with a panoramic view of Lake Como at the Royal Victoria Hotel in Varenna. The couple wanted to spend this morning together, without rushing, enjoying every moment of this special day. Margarita carefully thought out her look not only for the ceremony but also for a pajama photo session. The photos turned out to be very tender and incredibly stylish! The weather in Como this April was quite capricious, it was pretty cold and it rained often. We, along with the couple, were very worried about the weather, but fortunately, on the wedding day, the lake gods smiled upon us and the bad weather was called off. The newlyweds decided to make their symbolic ceremony not just a regular one, but to include an element of play. We prepared for them a special romantic quest, which was designed to show just how well they really know each other. And the couple, of course, passed the task brilliantly, as expected! While Margo and Yaroslav made their way to the ceremony venue, they answered questions from our quest, laughed, kissed, and of course, took many photos. For their symbolic wedding, they chose one of the most beautiful villas on Como – Villa Monastero. Here, on the open veranda with a view of the most beautiful of Italian lakes, they exchanged wedding vows, rings, and once again said “Yes!” to each other. The place and time were chosen intentionally – Yaroslav proposed to Margo on a yacht at sunset, so the water and the time of day hold special significance for the couple. After the ceremony and photo session, the newlyweds went to a cozy bar to celebrate their love with some Italian sparkling prosecco. And next, they enjoyed a luxurious one-hour boat ride on Como with prosecco and light snacks. In the evening, the boat brought the beautiful couple straight to the hotel, where they changed and then went to a restaurant for a wedding dinner for two. The next day, they took their luggage and headed to Venice, which Margo adores. Their next stops on their honeymoon journey were Florence, Rome, and Paris. This is how their intimate Italian wedding smoothly transitioned into the honeymoon of their dreams. Thank you so much, without you, none of this would have happened! In an era when everyone meets online, it is rare to find couples who have been together since school. For us, a pleasant exception was Ekaterina and Maxim – a couple from St. Petersburg who have been together for 11 years! Initially, Italy was not part of their plans, they planned to get married in Montenegro, celebrating with a large circle of friends. But fate intervened – ticket prices were sky-high, and many invited guests had to decline. Almost all flights to Montenegro had a stopover in Italy, and that’s when the couple realized it was destiny! And they decided to have a wedding for two in one of the most beautiful places – Lake Como. Official Wedding Ceremony on Como takes place in the municipality of the picturesque town of Bellagio on the shore. But it doesn’t offer a direct view of the lake, and our couple wanted a wedding with the sound of the waves, with a picturesque view of Como right by its shore! So we organized an outdoor ceremony for them at Teresio Olivelli Park in Tremezzo. But, let’s go in order! For their celebration, Katya and Maxim chose one of the longest (and hottest!) days of the year – June 22! The wedding day began with breakfast and… a glass of prosecco on the balcony with a beautiful view. The couple spent this morning together, discarding any superstitions. However, Maxim didn’t tempt fate too much and left, letting the stylist work her magic on Katya’s look. Getting ready for the wedding is always a very emotional time! Even if the hairstyle and makeup are rehearsed, and the dress is perfectly fitted, every bride still wonders: “Will I see what I expect in the mirror? Will everything be as I imagined?” But with our magical stylists, such worries are unnecessary! Katya’s look was soft and sensual. She chose an elegant dress with a flowing skirt, a classic long veil, and high-heeled sandals. Maxim added a twist to his classic formal look – an elegant black suit and white shirt – with playful white sneakers. The ceremony took place at Teresio Olivelli Park in Tremezzo. It’s a public park, but it’s never crowded, so we weren’t afraid of any interruptions. From this small platform, there’s an unmatched view of Lake Como, the mountains, and the Melzi Villa across the lake. Would you want to say “Yes!” with such a view, just like Ekaterina and Maxim did? The couple chose original wedding rings with different designs for him and for her. Watching them, it was hard to believe that they’ve been together for 11 years. There was so much passion and tenderness in their gazes and touches! The ceremony was very emotional, and at the end of it, neither of them could hold back their tears. The town of Tremezzo is on the list of I Borghi piu belli d’Italia (The Most Beautiful Villages of Italy). One of the main attractions of this lovely “borgo” is the famous Villa Carlotta. Many picturesque towns are scattered around Lake Como, but Tremezzo is one of the most beautiful. So, we chose it for the wedding photoshoot. Afterward, Katya and Maxim enjoyed prosecco in beautiful glasses, posed for the photographer again, and had fun. The next item on the wedding program was a boat ride on Lake Como. This was the perfect moment to relax, enjoy each other’s company, and the beauty of the surrounding landscapes. And, of course, to give the photographer the chance to capture the happy moments of this day! The newlyweds took off their shoes and snapped a few playful shots against the magnificent backdrop. The final destination was the famous Villa Monastero – another historic villa with a park right on the shore, where Katya and Maxim, escaping the heat, strolled under the shade of trees, laughed, and happily posed for the photographer. A few more photos at the Varenna harbor, and the newlyweds were ready to head to the restaurant. At 6 p.m., Katya and Maxim took the water tram to Bellagio. There, their wedding day ended with a festive dinner on a terrace overlooking Lake Como. They awaited the late sunset of this long and eventful day, which became a new starting point in their relationship. The first snowboarding trip, when you’re still unsure on your feet but already craving the thrill of speed. The first shy kiss, first date, and first love. The first series so captivating that you lose track of time. The first trip that brings a whirlwind of new emotions, impressions, and tastes. The first-time experiences are always more vivid and intense, especially if some of these discoveries happen with a loved one.
Yulia and Roman met at school and started spending time together with their mutual friends. Their school friendship gradually blossomed into love. As their relationship developed, they discovered a shared passion for travel, nature, skiing, and snowboarding. They even found one film that became a favorite for both of them. Their first joint trip was to exotic Thailand, where their dinner with a stunning sunset view and live music left an indelible mark on their hearts.
The couple visited Finland and the Dominican Republic, fell in love with Istanbul, but decided to have their wedding in a country they had never been to before. Italy! This was the place Yulia and Roman had always dreamed of visiting. And this first trip was meant to be special for both of them. Because not only would they get to know Italy for the first time, but they would also officially become husband and wife. They chose Lake Como for the ceremony, which perfectly matched their wedding concept. “Stylish and atmospheric”, they imagined their dream wedding to be in the country of their dreams.
On the morning of September 25, 2023, the couple woke up at Villa Armonia. This elegant 19th-century villa, nestled in greenery on the eastern shore of Lake Como, was the perfect place to begin their wedding day. Without haste, Yulia and Roman woke up and had breakfast with a view of Lake Como.
Then Yulia flew into the caring hands of stylist Olga, only to return to Roman and meet him already in her bridal gown. The groom couldn’t take his eyes off his bride. She looked stunning, like a Hollywood actress in that white dress that hugged her slender figure, with blonde locks cascading down her delicate shoulders.
Yulia and Roman headed to the town of Bellagio, where at the town hall they experienced the event they had been waiting for – an official marriage according to the laws of the Republic of Italy. Despite its formal status, the ceremony was touching, and as tradition dictates, the newlyweds were showered with rice as they left the town hall.
As husband and wife, Yulia and Roman took a walk through Bellagio accompanied by the photographer, then crossed Lake Como on a yacht. The fresh breeze, the sparkling waters of the lake, and the sparkling prosecco tickling their noses, the eyes of their beloved shining with love and happiness – is this not heaven on earth?
Villa Monastero, built over an ancient Cistercian monastery, is located on the eastern shore of Lake Como. It is famous for its magnificent botanical garden and exquisite architecture. This was where the newlyweds headed for their photo session to capture the joyful moments of their day in a beautiful and atmospheric place.
The day concluded with a wedding dinner at Villa Armonia, where Yulia and Roman’s morning had started. The couple dreamed that they would be able to tell their children about the beautiful wedding at the lake in a country with such a rich history. And that’s exactly how it turned out. Ahead lies a lifetime, with many more happy events and stories. But September 25, 2023, will be remembered forever, as it marked the beginning of their new journey as husband and wife.

Kristina and Ivan were deciding between Crimea, St. Petersburg, and Italy. A long-time dream was about to come true.
The couple shares their story of making their Italian dream come true with the portal weddywood.ru.
I met Ivan at university. We were in the same class and on the same course, but we didn’t pay attention to each other. In our second year, things started to move forward, the first dates and all that. The relationship developed very quickly, and now we’ve been together for 6 years.
I always knew I wanted an intimate wedding, I dreamed of Italy, but it seemed impossible back then. I even thought of incorporating some Italian elements, like decorating everything with branches and lemons instead of flowers.
Ivan proposed on my birthday, and we began planning. We had three options: a wedding in Crimea, a registration in St. Petersburg, or a wedding in Italy. We couldn’t decide for a long time, and Ivan came up with the idea of using a hat and papers with country names. I drew a paper and thought, “Let it be as it should be.” Italy came up, and everything fell into place.
It was very important for me to find responsible professionals. And we immediately chose Wow Italy. I initially didn’t want to organize a celebration for others, just for us two, and I wanted it to be memorable. The preparation started in May-June, and on October 3rd, we were already standing hand in hand at Lake Como. There wasn’t much time, but I’m really thankful to the organizers for their hard work and help. I truly enjoyed the process of preparation and the wedding itself.
The most common question from friends in the days leading up to the wedding was about pre-wedding nerves. And that’s something you shouldn’t ask a bride. The night before, I began to feel nervous and couldn’t eat. But just before the ceremony, I trusted the universe, and the whole wedding went wonderfully.

Lilia and Vladislav: Happiness in Every Moment at Lake Como
Who said that you can’t meet your destiny on dating websites? Lilia and Vladislav met on Tinder in Kyiv just over a year ago and soon realized that it was love.
Vladislav proposed to Lilia on the white-blue sunny island of Santorini, and they decided to have their wedding in Italy, at Lake Como.
The couple had already been to Como and had fallen deeply in love with the incredible landscapes of one of Italy’s most beautiful lakes. For their symbolic ceremony, Lilia and Vladislav chose Villa Armonia, a family villa from the 19th century that combines architectural beauty and stunning views of Lake Como with modern service and comfort.
By the way, the villa is also beloved by Italian celebrities such as Adriano Celentano and Al Bano, who visit for the atmosphere and, of course, the top-notch cuisine.
The couple’s main desire was to organize a celebration for themselves and their loved ones, to share the joy and celebrate their love. The last few years have shown us that life and love should be lived in the present because no one knows what tomorrow will bring. Therefore, no distances or circumstances could be an obstacle – guests flew to Lilia and Vladislav’s wedding from all over the world.
The bride was very meticulous in planning the event; she had a clear vision of how it should be, so working with her was incredibly easy and pleasant! For the wedding, Lilia prepared two different wedding dresses and knew exactly what she wanted for the ceremony under Beyoncé’s “Halo,” with petals being thrown to “Everything I Do” by Bryan Adams.
The wedding took place on a huge terrace overlooking the lake. The arch draped with white flowers, the handsome groom and the dazzling bride, like Hollywood actors, with a luxurious landscape as the backdrop – everything was like a love movie!
After the ceremony, the newlyweds went for a boat ride photo session on the lake, while the guests went to a buffet where they were in for a surprise – a gender party! Friends and relatives of the newlyweds were divided into two teams – “for the boy” and “for the girl.” And when Lilia and Vladislav returned, we told them that we had managed to bribe the doctor and now knew the sex of their future child. The secret was revealed when a popper shot up, sending a million pink confetti into the air – it’s a girl! At that moment, the groom’s happiness knew no bounds!
The wedding dinner took place in the luxurious interiors of the villa, in a hall with panoramic windows overlooking the evening Como. During the dinner, guests were invited to participate in a wedding quiz. The newlyweds had prepared a whole list of questions, and answering them was not that easy! For each correct answer, guests received a sweet prize – famous Italian Baci candies.
But the surprises didn’t end there! Lilia prepared an incredible dance for her beloved, which she performed immediately after the newlyweds’ first dance. After that, everyone started dancing to the lively Macarena!

Love is a feeling that everyone understands in their own way. But as writer Ivan Bunin said, love is always a great happiness. And how can we disagree, for it is a true miracle to find your beloved person in this boundless world!
And another happiness for the couple is to celebrate their most important day exactly the way they want, just for the two of them. Vitaly and Vita entrusted us with organizing their dream wedding, and we are happy to have brought their dearest wishes to life!
Vita is a designer by profession, and as a truly creative person, she had already thought out the concept and details of the wedding. Our inspired team worked hard not only to organize the wedding ceremony but also to create a true celebration of pure and sincere love, support, and care that the couple so tenderly give to each other!
Several circumstances forced the couple to postpone their wedding ceremony date, but despite everything, they really wanted to celebrate their love and dreamt of becoming husband and wife precisely on Lake Como.
There was even a surprise when the couple arrived in Italy: on that day, a transport strike unexpectedly took place in the country of eternal joy, making it nearly impossible to reach Como. But not for our couple – magically, at the appointed hour, they found themselves exactly where they dreamed of being!
Of course, the couple hoped to catch some warm Italian sunshine. But mid-October in Italy marks the end of the summer season and the approach of autumn, meaning that the weather during this period can be unpredictable. Indeed, the forecast promised rain on the day of the wedding. But as we’ve already said, true love can work miracles…
On the wedding day, there was no rain! The weather was beautifully overcast, creating an incredibly cozy and special atmosphere. It turned out to be a romantic and beautiful day, which the couple dedicated entirely to each other and their loved ones. Every moment was filled with the romance of Italy and its unique atmosphere.
Our brave couple wasn’t scared of the possible rain and hoped for the best, looking forward to a drive in a beautiful retro car through the picturesque surroundings of Como. But it’s well-known that Italians don’t like to take risks, and as soon as the first clouds appeared in the sky, we got a call (2 hours before the ceremony!) informing us that the weather conditions wouldn’t allow the couple’s dream to come true…
Like true fairy godmothers, our organizers managed to do the impossible, and just an hour later, the carriage was ready, and it was even more beautiful than the one the bride and groom had imagined. WowItaly! These are the emotions we want to create, no matter what!
After the ceremony, exchanging important promises and touching confessions, the happy newlyweds went to enjoy the stunning views of Como on a water limousine, sipping champagne, exchanging warm hugs and smiles. The extraordinary symphony of nature, true emotions, and feelings touched the deepest strings of their loving hearts!
Gentle, kind, romantic, and at the same time very sensual, Vita and Vitaly felt perfectly at home in the ancient towns of Como, its picturesque gardens, and villas. Who would have thought that this was their first trip to Italy together? Even their names seem made for this country: Vita and Vitaly in Italy. Vita in Italian means life, and Vitaly is almost like life in Italy 😊 It really sounds magical!
Ah, love… this bright feeling! The purest and most sincere, full of joy and magic. And just as natural, romantic, and gentle were the wedding photos from this beautiful day – in the silver of the autumn sky, Vita and Vitaly’s feelings became even brighter.

The long-awaited “Yes!” has been said, and the ring is already sparkling on the finger. Now it’s time to decide what your dream wedding will be. Where and when? With guests or just the two of you? The most exciting moment – the proposal – seems to be behind, but in reality, more questions arise, and the agony of choice keeps you awake at night.
Don’t worry, close your eyes and trust your heart. Imagine your ideal wedding. Do you really need a crowd of guests on this day, or is it enough to have your special one by your side?
Anastasia and Maxim dreamed of spending their wedding day alone together. They planned to stay in a five-star hotel with a beautiful view, go shopping for themselves, and pick out memorable wedding rings. In short, they wanted to have a wedding in the style of dolce far niente – sweet doing nothing. The Italians excel at this!
They chose the hottest month of the year – August – for their wedding. During this time, only by the water can you find some coolness. We booked a hotel with a beautiful view and a spa on Lake Como for the couple. In the early afternoon, the preparations for the ceremony began, and the first photoshoot took place.
Anastasia is currently building a career as a solo singer and keeps up with the latest fashion trends. For the wedding ceremony, she chose a stylish suit and paid special attention to accessories. Check out the look she created!
This trend will continue into the new year. Long dresses are giving way to short skirts and pantsuits. Glasses, shoes, and hats are the details that will add individuality to your look. Don’t forget about the groom. Maxim and Anastasia look effortless together, and their outfits complement each other.
The official ceremony took place at the Bellagio Town Hall. And now, as husband and wife, they are boarding a boat to enjoy a lake cruise and a light aperitif. The dream has come true, and our newlyweds are happy. They raise their glasses – a toast to a long and happy life together!

In the photos, you can see that Anastasia and Maxim are truly enjoying each other and everything that is happening. No pretensions, no posing for the camera. The lovebirds chose a magnificent villa near the town of Varenna to prepare for the celebration and spend a few pleasant evenings with a glass of wine and heartfelt conversations.
Varenna – a small but very picturesque town located on the eastern shore of Lake Como, with a unique atmosphere of ancient streets and magnificent nature, where peace and comfort reign. Spending evenings alone with each other amidst the antique furniture, the couple enjoyed the breathtaking view of the lake.
On their wedding day, the couple looked not just like movie characters but like James Bond and Angelina Jolie! Evgeny chose a tuxedo – the perfect outfit for the groom, while Darya dazzled in an elegant dress with charming details on her back. Their appearance radiated sophistication and refinement, which was so beautifully accentuated by the noble blue of the famous lake.
July is the heart of summer, meaning it’s the hottest period in Italy. The weather on the day of the wedding was really hot, so the bride and groom decided to take a ride on a water limousine across Lake Como and enjoy the picturesque nature and unforgettable views.
The lovebirds arrived at Villa Monastero, where we arranged a photoshoot for them in a charming garden overflowing with various flowers and plants, beautifully adorned with fountains and statues.
We are sure that great luck awaits Darya and Evgeny, as swans unexpectedly appeared on the lake, and even a whole family with three cygnets! The most reliable omen – meeting these snow-white birds brings happiness and is considered a good sign! Truly WOW miracles! 😊
The official wedding ceremony took place in Bellagio, another town that is called the pearl of Lake Como due to its panoramic views and the beauty of its local architecture. The groom and bride exchanged touching vows of love and fidelity, not holding back tears of joy. And we, to be honest, couldn’t contain our feelings either and were so happy to bring this beautiful couple’s dream to life!
With their hearts united under the bright Italian sun, the newlyweds headed for an aperitif and a festive dinner at the Mistral restaurant, located at the five-star Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni and awarded a prestigious Michelin star.
This aristocratic 15th-century villa astounds with the luxury of its interiors, and dishes from the star chef are served on the terrace with an incredibly beautiful view of the lake. La vita è bella, as the Italians say, and we willingly believe them!
At sunset, Evgeny and Darya returned from Bellagio to Varenna on an elegant boat, enjoying the first stars of the clear summer sky and making new wishes for their future together. Like in the most beautiful movie, they sailed across the lake at night, whispering sweet words, exchanging kisses, and making plans for their honeymoon.
Soon, the happy newlyweds set off to Tuscany, then to Venice, where they spent several days filled with unforgettable memories. This was the long-awaited celebration of their love, which they successfully combined with a honeymoon in beautiful Italy!

Alexandra and Armen: Capturing Moments of Happiness with Loved Ones at Lake Como
At first glance, Italians may seem too relaxed and even superficial. But, agree, they know better than anyone how to be happy here and now. Perhaps this is why many couples choose Italy for their wedding. The country and its people already hint that the celebration will be unforgettable!
Armen and Alexandra met through a mutual friend, and it was love at first sight. Armen’s mother always wanted only an Armenian girl as a daughter-in-law and never stopped reminding him about it. Her first meeting with Alexandra was the kind that could be “told to the grandchildren” 😊 The young couple lost their car keys and had to go barefoot and in swimsuits to the parents to fetch a spare pair.
Alexandra’s family also put her future son-in-law to the test during their first meeting. This is what happens when your father is a former investigator. But true love overcomes all obstacles! And now, both families are planning the wedding of their son and daughter in one of the most beautiful places in the world – Lake Como.
Armen and Alexandra chose an official ceremony that took place by the water at the atmospheric Villa Monastero. The couple decided to keep the decor to a minimum, as the Italian landscapes don’t require extra embellishments. The stylist added fresh flowers to the bride’s hair, which harmoniously matched her necklace.
On the way to the ceremony, Alexandra recalls how her father was calming her down:
– Sasha, don’t worry, everything will be fine!
– Dad, I’m not worried!
– And I am worried…
At that moment, Alexandra realized how much her parents were worried about her.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests went to Bellagio for a photoshoot. One of the boats broke down just before departure. We quickly found a replacement, so the guests didn’t notice anything. Fortunately, such unexpected situations are rare, but we always have a Plan B and phone numbers of other contractors in our pocket. Just in case.
At the couple’s request, we came up with a light and relaxed entertainment program for the guests. The emphasis was on making sure everyone talked more to each other and simply enjoyed the moment. For example, no Italian wedding is complete without a gift for guests – bomboniere. The name comes from the French word “bon-bon” (candy). Each gift contains 5 pieces of candy for good luck and health. Armen and Alexandra created wedding charades, and guests received a bomboniere for completing them.
At dinner, there was live music. An Italian opera singer performed the song “Grande Amore” by Il Volo, followed by dancing. The host showed the moves, and the guests repeated them. Even their friend approached them with thanks – it was the first time in four years she had seen her husband dancing! In short, everyone had fun regardless of age or nationality.
The newlyweds didn’t pre-decorate the dessert, but instead invited guests to participate in the decoration. This way, everyone could contribute and offer a bit of warmth and creativity to the couple. The cake may not have been Vogue-worthy, but it was made sincerely and with love, just like the entire wedding.

Elena and Vasily. A delicate and enchanting wedding at Lake Como
If you truly love someone, you will find a way to make their dreams come true.
Vasily and Elena live in Minsk and have been together for 10 years. In fact, they have already been a family for a long time, as it’s not a stamp in the passport that makes a couple a family. Their wedding was supposed to happen three years ago, but the pandemic prevented their plans. The couple decided to wait, as Elena’s dream was not just a wedding, but a wedding at one of the most beautiful places in Italy – Lake Como.
They contacted us in February 2022, and the main challenge in organizing their wedding was obtaining visas, which became nearly impossible due to the worsening international situation. They received their Schengen visa only in June, and it was valid for just two weeks. There was no time to prepare all the necessary documents and organize an official wedding, so the couple chose a symbolic ceremony.
Vasily and Elena had a simple civil ceremony in Minsk the day before their trip and didn’t plan to throw a big celebration, but that’s not how it went! Friends surprised them – they met them after the registry office in a luxurious car and literally overwhelmed the newlyweds with flowers. After that, the couple had a long and complicated bus ride to Vilnius, followed by a flight to Milan.
We booked a stunning suite for the couple at Lake Como with a large terrace, where the symbolic wedding ceremony took place. The day traditionally started with a boudoir photoshoot for the bride. By the way, Elena looked very Italian! When the makeup artist and hairstylist finally finished, Elena went to meet her groom with the photographer.
The ceremony was very touching. Vasily did everything he could to fulfill his beloved’s dream and make everything exactly how she wanted, from start to finish.
The day before the wedding, he wrote a vow in verse, which deeply moved our entire team. Looking at Vasily and Elena, it was hard to believe that they had been together for 10 years; they seemed like young lovers!
The groom’s voice was trembling, and his hands were shaking as he read his vow. We have organized and conducted hundreds of beautiful weddings and witnessed many touching moments, declarations of love, and wedding vows, but this couple moved us all to tears!
After the official part, the newlyweds went for a car ride. Vasily loves cars, so we chose a 1960 retro Fiat for him. A drive along the shores of Lake Como, famous for its breathtaking views – that in itself is an adventure!
The goal of the drive was a secret beach, where a few local residents greeted us with shouts of “Auguri!” (“Congratulations!”). It was incredibly beautiful! A light silver mist wrapped around the lake and mountains as if by order, and the sunlight seemed to flow, creating perfect conditions for wedding photos.
The next stop was the famous Villa Monastero on Lake Como. There was not much time before closing, so there were almost no visitors. The entire park, bathed in the rays of the setting sun, was entirely at the disposal of the newlyweds and photographer. The golden hour on the shores of Como is the perfect time and place for tender romantic photos.
Then we took a short walk through Varenna, a small picturesque town where the villa is located. Afterward, we sent the happy newlyweds in a taxi, which took them back to their luxurious hotel, where a wedding dinner for two awaited them.
The brightest, most magical, and beautiful event of the year – our Italian wedding. And for that, endless thanks to the WowItaly team, without whom my dream would not have come true in this difficult year.
