Wedding of Victorin and Valeria

Wedding date: May 5, 2025

Venue: Lake Como, Italy

Format: Elopement — just the two of you, just love

Photographer: Ksenia

Stylist: Anastasia

Event planner: @wowitaly_events

“You turned a storm into fireworks, and our day into a film we want to rewatch again and again.”

The wedding of Viktorin and Valeria: When love is louder than the weather forecast

The wedding morning began with rain. Fine drops slid down the windows, the sky over the lake was covered with clouds, and there was something special in the air. For Valeria and Viktorin, this wasn’t a reason to worry — on the contrary, a sign that everything was going just as it should. They weren’t waiting for perfect weather. They were waiting for this day. The very one when you just want to be together — without scripts or expectations, without a crowd or formalities.

Lake Como became the backdrop for their story. Laughter, vows on the water, a gentle breeze, the boat’s spray, Prosecco in hand, and the sun that finally peeked through the clouds. Nature didn’t get in the way. It played along, breathed with them in the same rhythm, and amplified every feeling.

There wasn’t a single accidental detail. Everything was honest and very personal. They chose to be together — they chose feeling over format. And in that choice, there was everything. This day will stay with them not only in frames, but in memory — as a story impossible to forget. And we simply helped it happen.

Later, Valeria would write:

“Even if it rained — the day was amazing. You did the impossible: turned bad weather into magic, and every moment into something eternal that still gives us goosebumps. We didn’t have a minute to catch our breath, and it was the best thing that could have happened ❤️.”

Minimum words, maximum feelings. Just you and Lake Como.

Do you also want to forget the format and simply be together? We know how to make it beautiful.

Vanessa and Evgeny: Wedding with Guests on Lake Maggiore

A few years ago, Vanessa and Evgeny met on the open terrace of a restaurant in Chișinău, and since then, they have never parted. When we asked the couple what unites them, they answered: “Cozy evenings watching movies, a love for good food and a good life, and also our dogs – Ricci and Ponchik.” So, this is true dolce far niente (sweet doing nothing) – the favorite pastime of Italians. That’s why Italy was such a perfect choice for celebrating Vanessa and Evgeny’s special day with their closest loved ones.

The couple wanted to make this celebration not only for themselves but also for their family and friends. They wanted to organize everything so that the guests wouldn’t worry about anything but could just enjoy the atmosphere. After all, for many, it was their first trip to Italy. On the one hand, the couple wanted Italian classics: decor in light tones, the lake, and mountains. On the other hand, they wanted the wedding to be something unique. So, we suggested a cozy villa on Lake Maggiore instead of the famous Lake Como. This green paradise was perfect for their wedding concept. Here, all 30 guests could stay together. They had access to a shaded park for walks, an elegant restaurant, and even their own beach.

The celebration began the day before the wedding. In the afternoon, some guests went shopping in Milan, and in the evening, everyone gathered at one table with a view of the lake. The pre-wedding dinner was a great idea to get everyone to know each other better and get into the festive mood.

The wedding ceremony was scheduled for the afternoon, so the day began slowly, just as the couple likes it. The couple had time for a swim and a few hours of men’s talks over coffee and more 🙂 The ladies were preparing for the photoshoot. The newlyweds had a luxurious room with panoramic windows and a large bathtub. First, Vanessa had an individual photo shoot in lace lingerie, followed by a bachelorette party with her bridesmaids and beloved pets.

Meanwhile, we were preparing the venue. Vanessa wanted a photo zone with a large mirror for selfies, as well as live music for the guests.

And then the hour of the ceremony arrived. Lake Maggiore shimmered in the sunlight, and the guests, waiting for the bride, were fanning themselves with fans. The groom was already at the altar, but the host did not rush to invite the bride – first, let the three-year-old girl, Thea, sprinkle petals along the path. And finally, to the sound of the violin, Father Nikolai led his daughter to the groom.

After the ceremony, Vanessa and Evgeny went for a boat ride on the lake, while the guests, following Italian tradition, had their aperitif time. They were served appetizers and drinks, and while the music band played, they could dance on the open terrace. Guests also had the chance to sign postcards, leave a wish in the guestbook, or record an audio message for the newlyweds. The host entertained the guests by teaching them the technique of sabrage – the art of opening a champagne bottle with a large knife.

The newlyweds opened the dinner with their first dance in the ballroom, and then everyone gathered at the big table in a family-style seating. Delicious food, contests, and congratulations followed one another. The DJ didn’t stop spinning the records, and the disco lasted until 4 AM!

WowItaly are the best! I am so grateful to you for our wedding, it was flawless and exactly like my dreams🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Thank you so much, you are the best🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 I enjoy rewatching the wedding gallery❤️❤️❤️❤️

Elizabeth and Dmitry: Dream Wedding with Guests on Lake Como

When it comes to a dream wedding, the first question that comes to mind is – where? Elizabeth and her mother Viktoria were confused. It was up to them to decide which landscape would be the backdrop for the happiest day. Just in time, they received advice from a close friend: “No matter how much you spin the globe, there’s no place better than Lake Como on Earth!”

And then Elizabeth saw a YouTube video. It had everything – from the location to the decor, from the bride’s morning to the dinner with guests – perfect! It was our wedding that we organized in 2023 at Villa Bonomi. This is how it happens – you start dreaming, and the Universe already has the answer and good organizers for you.

Elizabeth and Dmitry had a church wedding in Russia. For many reasons, not all their loved ones could join them for this celebration, so it was important to gather everyone in an atmospheric place. The couple wanted their wedding in Italy to be remembered by everyone for its beautiful views and delicious, varied food.

The day before the wedding, guests began arriving from Europe, America, Russia, and Ukraine. The pre-wedding dinner was organized at the Grand Hotel Imperiale. Traditionally, they started with an aperitif on the open terrace with a view of the lake. It was an incredible feeling when people you haven’t seen and missed for a long time gradually gather in one place. The last to arrive were the groom Dmitry and his mother. Their flight was delayed, and their arrival was truly anticipated.

The wedding day began with the arrival of florists, caterers, and musicians. As soon as the guests had breakfast on the lawn, everyone needed to head to their festive duties. The bride and her bridesmaids were prepared for the photoshoot by three stylists. The young people were swimming in the pool, while the groom devoted himself to his favorite morning ritual – doing yoga with an amazing view of Como. Villa Bonomi and its luxurious interiors are perfect for any activity.

At Villa Bonomi 20 people were accommodated, half of the invited guests. The others began arriving after lunch. They were greeted with welcome drinks and seated in the ceremony area.

Today, the newlyweds are the main characters, so a small podium decorated with white hydrangeas was organized for them. First, the groom Dmitry walked down the aisle with his mother, then the bride’s niece scattered petals along the walkway. And then, the touching moment – the father leads his daughter Elizabeth to the altar. The ceremony passed in an instant. The final words are spoken, and to the song Sugar by Maroon 5, guests congratulate the newlyweds.

What’s a wedding with guests on Lake Como without a boat ride? While the newlyweds were cruising and taking photos, an aperitif was organized for the guests on the lawn. To the sound of the saxophone, they tasted various appetizers. Not only did they order Aperol spritz, but they also watched a full bar show. They wrote postcards, left audio congratulations, and simply socialized.

It was time for dinner. The tables were filled with flowers, and candles were lit. The host gave the floor to the guests, and during breaks between congratulations, he charmed everyone with his voice – singing songs for the newlyweds in Italian, the language of love.

When it got dark, the guests returned to the lawn where the ceremony took place. There, the cake was waiting for them. The evening ended with a performance by the music band and dancing.

Feedback from brides is always pleasant, but such words from the MOTHER of the bride are doubly delightful! After all, mothers always want the best for their daughters:

I landed in Moscow at night, and being so far from our fairy tale, I saw once again WHERE we were and what we were part of!Thank you so much, without you this villa wouldn’t have been able to surprise us so much, despite its luxury. Everything was organized at the highest level and with style (in Russian).

Marina, you clearly understood the task and idea and brilliantly implemented it with the help of your assistants!!! Huge thanks to everyone.

Viktoria, Elizabeth’s mother

Opera d'Amore of Kristina and Andrey: A Wedding with Guests on Lake Como

As William Shakespeare wrote, “All the world’s a stage.” In this world, everything that happens by chance is not truly accidental if the role is destined by fate itself.

One of many working days. Lunch break, business lunch. Everything would have been usual for Andrey, if not for… a girl of stunning beauty and grace nearby. Andrey couldn’t take his admiring eyes off her, and at the end of lunch, he asked for her phone number.

It turned out the girl’s name was Kristina. Just one year after their accidental meeting, she became his wife.

Kristina and Andrey began preparing for their wedding in February 2023, six months before the ceremony. This is quite a short time for an international wedding – with guests, entertainment, and decorations. Usually, weddings like this are organized at least a year in advance, but the couple turned to the WowItaly team, for whom even the impossible becomes possible.

Kristina and Andrey wedding with guests on Lake Como

Wedding Concept and Preparation

Kristina and Andrey share a deep passion for theater and opera. And so the concept of the wedding came naturally – Opera d’Amore: an opera of love, combining various art forms – music, singing, ballet, painting. For Kristina and Andrey’s wedding, the team personally selected ballerinas, some of whom had performed at the Bolshoi Theatre!

Much attention was also given to the musical accompaniment. Singers and musicians, with their songs and melodies, were meant to set the overall romantic tone for the celebration.

Wedding decorations also matched the overall concept. On the lawn of Villa Bonomi with a view of Lake Como, a podium was set up with an arch decorated with white flowers. The special feature of the podium was a mirrored aisle, and the entire setup resembled a stage where the main characters of the wedding performance – the bride and groom – would shine.

It took 3 days to set up the decorations and install all the necessary equipment. Meticulous preparation and careful organization – the team did everything to ensure Kristina and Andrey’s celebration went at the highest level and was worthy of the loudest applause!

The Day Before the Wedding

The day before the wedding, Kristina and Andrey and their guests checked into Villa Bonomi. In the evening, a pre-wedding dinner took place at the fashionable restaurant il Gatto Nero. This restaurant, located in Cernobbio, offers exquisite dishes accompanied by Italian wines and a stunning view of Lake Como.

The pre-wedding dinner is a good tradition, allowing the future newlyweds and their guests to gather together the night before the wedding day. It’s an opportunity to chat in a warm, informal atmosphere and set a joyful, anticipatory tone for the main event.

Wedding Day. Anticipating the Ceremony

September 8, 2023. A date that will forever be woven into the story of Kristina and Andrey. A special day to celebrate their love and shared happiness!

The morning at Villa Bonomi began with the traditional preparations for the bride and groom. In the morning photoshoot amidst the luxurious historical interiors of the villa, Kristina looked charming and playful in her white suit.

The bridesmaids wore the same suits, but in champagne tones, and joined Kristina. The bachelorette party was full of smiles, light conversations, and refreshing sparkling wine. The girls had fun, chatted, and relaxed in a casual atmosphere by the pool.

Andrey’s friends also gathered for the bachelor party to share the joy of the upcoming event with the groom. The day promised to be hot, and indeed, the weather for the second week of September was pleasantly warm. A glass of whiskey with ice was just what was needed to refresh the male guests before the ceremony.

Guests at the Wedding

About 30 guests attended Kristina and Andrey’s wedding, including friends, family, and loved ones. Accommodation, transfer, aperitifs, snacks, and entertainment were organized for the guests during the wait for the newlyweds’ photoshoot. Makeup and hairstyling by a professional stylist were provided not only for the bride but for all the guests as well.

The impressions of the guests were just as important as the audience’s reactions to a performance, and the team made sure to surround everyone with care and attention.

Wedding Ceremony

Every detail was carefully planned to reflect the bride and groom’s passion for theatrical arts and to support the overall concept of the wedding.

An hour before the ceremony, ballerinas and violinists in white costumes greeted the guests in the “foyer” at the entrance to the venue. Guests were handed invites to the “Opera of Love,” with a seating arrangement like a theater ticket.

While waiting for the ceremony, guests enjoyed an aperitif and a light entertainment program hosted by a Russian-speaking MC, with opportunities to take photos with the ballerinas or in the retro car salon.

The theater is full; the boxes are shining; the stalls and chairs are bubbling…

“Eugene Onegin,” A.S. Pushkin

Everyone was of course waiting for the main event of the day. Three bells, as in a theater, signaled the start of the ceremony. The third bell rang, and all the guests gathered in the “auditorium.” Each guest had a fan on their chair – a tribute not only to theater tradition, as it was indeed a hot +30-degree day.

The backdrop for the ceremony was the best decoration that could exist – Lake Como itself. The groom, already standing at the arch and anticipating the appearance of his bride, was of course the most nervous. Soon both of them would play new roles – husband and wife.

And then she appeared – Kristina. Dazzlingly, stunningly beautiful in her wedding dress!

The bride walked arm in arm with her brother, with her train and dress helped by the ballerinas. The ceremony was conducted by two MCs in two languages – Russian and Italian, the language of love. The bride and groom exchanged rings and vows, sealing them with a kiss. When Kristina and Andrey, now together as husband and wife, walked down the mirrored aisle, the guests, in Italian tradition, showered them with rose petals.

After the Ceremony. Newlyweds Photoshoot and Entertainment Program for Guests

Intermission! After the ceremony, the newlyweds and guests were greeted by a “champagne tower,” with sparkling wine pouring like a waterfall. And here, the WowItaly team prepared their first surprise for Kristina and Andrey. The Italian MC turned out to be not just an MC, but a real tenor singer! He dedicated his song in Italian to the newlyweds and their love.

The newlyweds went on a photoshoot to capture memories of the day – just the two of them now. The classic combination: a retro car and a boat ride on Lake Como. But what could be better than elegant classics? Any theater lover will tell you this when choosing a classic play over an avant-garde production.

While waiting for Kristina and Andrey’s return from the photoshoot, guests relaxed on the green lawn, enjoying the views of Lake Como, sparkling wine, and appetizers. A light entertainment program was organized for them. A musician sang songs on the guitar, a caricaturist drew amusing portraits of the guests, and ballerinas posed for photos with anyone wishing to experience the atmosphere of the Bolshoi Theatre on Lake Como.

A photo zone was set up where everyone could take photos with a Polaroid and take their picture home. A “love mail” was available with pre-prepared envelopes, postcards, and stamps: guests could send congratulations to Kristina and Andrey or even send a “hello” to themselves from sunny Italy.

Wedding Dinner

The newlyweds and their guests gathered again to spend time together at an outdoor dinner. The tables were elegantly decorated with flowers and white tablecloths. The highlight of the wedding décor were the floating crystal chandeliers above the tables, reminiscent of the interiors of theatrical halls with their luxurious chandeliers.

The MC led the program, allowing guests to make toasts and even sing songs in honor of the newlyweds. Throughout the dinner, there was live music, an orchestra played, and singers performed. The ballerinas amazed everyone with their grace and skill, performing well-known ballet numbers from “Swan Lake” and “Carmen.”

Wedding Cake and Culmination of the Day

When the evening came and the lights came on, the guests returned to the lawn where the ceremony took place and where the “wedding stage” with the mirrored aisle had been set up. Cutting the wedding cake marked the culmination of this joyful and eventful day. And again, Kristina and Andrey were in for a delightful surprise. At the moment of cutting the cake, fireworks fountains went off, and glowing butterflies emerged. A fireworks show of emotions in both literal and metaphorical senses!

As in a theater, at the end of the performance, the lights on stage get brighter, and the actors come out for an encore under the applause of the audience, so the heroes of the wedding day – Kristina and Andrey – walked down the mirrored aisle in the glow of sparklers held by their guests. Then, the guests followed the newlyweds with sparklers in their hands. Each received an impressive photo on the mirrored aisle.

According to Italian tradition, gifts (bomboniere) were prepared for the guests: limoncello in a beautiful ceramic vessel and a box of candies – a sweet reminder of this warm day, September 8, 2023. The evening concluded with dancing and merrymaking until late at night.

Kristina and Andrey’s wedding became an unforgettable performance, played to perfection from beginning to end. Each guest experienced a double magic – of art and true love, and the newlyweds shone like stars on stage. The celebration was truly a WOW event, organized by the professional team at WowItaly.

May Kristina and Andrey’s life continue to be filled with light, happiness, bright moments, love, and joyful laughter – just like this day, September 8, 2023!

Nelly and Stas: Wedding on Lake Como in Old Money Style

Every couple planning to get married asks the same question: “What is our dream wedding like?” Sometimes, the source of inspiration can be found in an unexpected place.

While planning their wedding, Nelly and Stas initially couldn’t imagine how or where this important day for them should take place. Nelly started collecting moodboards (from English moodboard – mood board) on Pinterest and later noticed that almost all the selected photos were connected to the same location – Lake Como in Italy.

In winter 2022, Nelly and Stas went to the lake to celebrate New Year’s with friends and also to see if this place was “the one.” The reality fully matched their expectations – they literally fell in love with Como and its atmosphere. From that moment, there were no more doubts, and preparations for the wedding began, lasting almost a year.

Nelly shared their wedding day in Old Money style on Lake Como with one of the leading wedding media, Weddywood. The full text is on the website Weddywood, here we’ve collected the main moments of Nelly’s story.

Nelly and Stas: Wedding on Lake Como in Old Money Style

Nelly and Stas: Wedding on Lake Como in Old Money Style

To make their dream come true, the couple contacted WowItaly. The agency is based in Italy and can coordinate the work of local vendors, handle all the organizational tasks, and give the newlyweds the chance to fully enjoy the moment of happiness on their wedding day.

Venue

The venue chosen was Hotel Villa Cipressi, located near the picturesque town of Varenna.

Villa Cipressi is a historic hotel with stunning views of the central part of Lake Como, known not only for its elegant architecture but also for its lush botanical garden. It is the perfect place for those who prefer a peaceful and quiet atmosphere in nature.

Wedding Style and Color Concept

The couple chose the Old Money style, which embodies the timeless nature of classics and the sophistication of luxury, without the hustle and bustle or chasing fleeting whims of fashion. The Old Money aesthetic implies elegance in every detail, with simple and concise design. Main colors: white, powder, beige, and for men – classic black.

Bride’s look (Dress #1): A voluminous mikado fabric gown with a long train.

Bride’s look (Dress #2): A figure-hugging dress embellished with feathers.

Custom-designed jewelry: OlgaDelice.

Bride’s shoes: Jimmy Choo.

Groom’s look: Henderson tuxedo.

Wedding Ceremony and Photoshoot

The wedding ceremony took place in the botanical garden of Villa Cipressi, with the natural beauty of Lake Como as the backdrop for exchanging vows. The place also stood out for its intimacy, which was perfect for a private event with guests. The ceremony was conducted by a close friend of Nelly and Stas, who chose such touching and heartfelt words that it was hard for the couple to hold back tears.

After the ceremony, Nelly and Stas opened a Prosecco pyramid for the aperitif under the music from “The Great Gatsby.” Following the classic tradition, while the guests relaxed, mingled, and enjoyed the aperitif, the newlyweds went for a photoshoot stroll around the lake.

A Special Detail of the Wedding

The couple added an unexpected bright accent to the restrained Old Money concept. At the end of the evening, Nelly and Stas danced not the classic waltz but a sensual tango. Nelly wore a stunning scarlet figure-hugging dress, while Stas wore a black silk shirt. The dance choreography itself brought Nelly and Stas joy as it included complex elements and lifts.

The wedding day reflected the different facets of this extraordinary and passionately loving couple, which was appreciated by both them and their guests.

This incredible experience showed us that even the boldest dreams are possible!

Karina and Sergey: Italian Luxury for Two on Lake Como

A new job always brings new people into our lives, and sometimes it happens that these people turn out to be kindred spirits. This is what happened in the lives of Karina and Sergey. Karina came to a new workplace, not knowing the surprise that fate had prepared for her. Here she met Sergey. They had many common interests, and the mutual sympathy between the colleagues grew into a real and strong love.

The couple travels a lot – Germany, UAE, France, the USA… Mostly for work trips, but both of them often wished they could spend more time on regular vacations. The most memorable trip Karina and Sergey took was to France. It was in the city of love, Paris, that Sergey proposed to his beloved.

“This city is my love, so such an event became even more sacred here”

Karina

Karina and Sergey wedding on Lake Como

Karina and Sergey wedding on Lake Como

What could a wedding be like for a couple that travels a lot? Is there a way to surprise people who have visited the most diverse countries in both the East and the West? Both Karina and Sergey appreciate restraint and elegance, and they like light shades in the interior, clothing, and the surrounding world. Big and noisy weddings are not their style.

The choice was obvious. Lake Como! This place is the embodiment of elegance and sophistication. A rich history, amazing cuisine, sparkling prosecco, and of course, nature that makes hearts stop…

I knew I wanted a wedding for two on Lake Como. Period. No guests, no fuss, no years of preparation. Just us, the beauty around, and a small support team. Based on these requests, I found @wowitaly_events.

Karina

On September 27, 2023, Karina and Sergey spent the day in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. The bride and groom greeted the morning of their wedding at Villa Armonia. This elegant 19th-century family villa is located near the town of Lecco.

Without hustle or rush, the bride began to prepare for the upcoming event, trusting herself to the caring hands of stylist Anastasia. After all the preparations, it was time for the meeting on the villa’s terrace with Sergey, who couldn’t take his eyes off his beautiful bride. Karina sparkled like a diamond in its setting, in her exquisite dress, which highlighted her slender figure.

The symbolic ceremony, with the exchange of rings and vows, took place right there, on the terrace, overlooking Lake Como, seemingly meant only for the two of them.

The newlyweds shone with happiness. And as a complement to this radiance – Karina’s sparkling dress and the sparkling prosecco in their glasses.

Karina and Sergey wedding on Lake Como

After the ceremony, Karina and Sergey went to Villa Monastero. Located on the picturesque shores of Lake Como, this ancient villa, which dates back 9 centuries, is the epitome of romance and elegance. Its feature is the lush botanical garden and exquisite architecture. The wedding photoshoot here allows capturing love and happiness in a truly beautiful and special place.

Afterward, Karina and Sergey went on a photoshoot by boat on Lake Como. Gliding over the azure waters, the newlyweds admired the surrounding views and simply enjoyed each other and the day. The gentle splash of the waves and the warm embrace of the sun created that feeling of unity with nature – in calmness and absolute happiness.

The day wouldn’t have been so special without little adventures. As Karina herself describes, her wedding dress survived several flights and car trips. In one plane, a foul-smelling liquid was spilled on the shelf where the dress was, in another, the cover and even part of the hem got torn. A quiet wedding nearby suddenly turned into a techno music disco. But in the end, nothing could affect how this day went for Karina and Sergey. In harmony, happiness, calmness, and exactly as they wanted.

The emotions of the bride herself speak louder than anything else. And somehow, it’s better not to say it:

Thank you so much for organizing such a wonderful day, we are absolutely thrilled❤️ The team is the best! Just wow 😯 Amazing photos. I can’t stop looking at them) I keep rewatching them 🥰

Anastasia and Roman: In Sneakers Around Rome

– What wedding traditions do you think are cool? – we asked Anastasia and Roman during the wedding planning phase.

– Ring exchange! – they confidently replied.

– And which ones do you not like?

– All the others!

Definitely, we were in for a very unconventional wedding!

No more designer floor-length dresses, long veils, and 10-centimeter heels! Getting married in a tutu and sneakers – this is definitely a dream for more girls than commonly believed.

Aperol for breakfast? It’s time to introduce new rock ‘n’ roll traditions! No more boring ransom or bride-napping!

For their romantic getaway, the couple chose the Radisson Collection Hotel, Antica Roma, located close to all the major attractions. But the hotel’s main feature is its rooftop with a stunning view, where we had their photo session.

Then, there was a trip to Tivoli, a ceremony at the town hall, where, in addition to Signor Giovanni, we had a guitarist waiting for us! Here, Anastasia and Roman exchanged unconventional wedding rings (Roman’s had the Pantheon dome on it!) and danced to the guitar accompaniment.

Once the pleasant formalities were over, we returned to the heart of the Eternal City. Anastasia and Roman were so natural and in tune with each other that they didn’t need to be asked to pose! The photographer simply had to capture the happy moments through the lens of their Canon.

The newlyweds simply walked around, drank prosecco, joked, kissed, ate gelato, and enjoyed every second of this day spent among the Great Beauty.

This cocktail of lightness, freedom from conventions, drive, youth, and love simmered in Rome on May 28, 2024.

The wedding day concluded with a rooftop dinner with panoramic views at the Settimo restaurant.

After returning from their honeymoon in Europe, Anastasia posted on her Instagram:

“For the most magical day of our lives without loaves and doves, thank you @wowitaly_events!”

Yana and Petr: Como Just for Two

Our couple completely disproves the common belief that people no longer meet offline! Yana and Petr met at a restaurant in Dubai, and the very next day they went on their most memorable date – a boat ride through the old town.

The couple started planning their wedding abroad a year in advance. Petr suggested the Maldives, but Yana wanted elegance and sophistication. Despite their love for traveling and having visited many countries together, they had never been to Italy before. However, they couldn’t resist the charm of Lake Como’s picturesque views and the famous Italian cuisine!

The couple’s morning began at a hotel in Varenna, Yana and Petr wanted to spend this day together without rush or chaos, so they enjoyed a slow breakfast, rested, and only then began getting ready for the ceremony.

When the couple headed towards Villa Monastero, unexpectedly, it started to rain. But in Italy, as in Russia, rain on the wedding day is considered a good omen. “Sposa bagniata, sposa fortunata” – Italians say, which translates to “Wet bride, lucky bride.” Therefore, it was no surprise that all passersby were smiling and congratulating Yana and Petr.

Fortunately, by the time the ceremony began, the clouds dispersed and the sun came out. The couple wanted to spend the day as relaxed as possible and avoid the usual wedding bustle, so they didn’t even write their wedding vows – neither of them doubted the sincerity of their feelings for each other. We took care of that for them, and our surprise vows caused a storm of emotions.

After the photo session, the newlyweds acted like true Italians and headed for an aperitif to celebrate their union with the most Italian drink of all – the Aperol Spritz cocktail. Here, they were met with a surprise – a mini-quiz with questions about their couple, the goal of which was to open a mysterious cryptex with a message.

Next on the agenda was a two-hour boat ride on Lake Como, for which Yana and Petr changed out of their wedding outfits into more casual attire. Yana chose classic style for the lake ride – a little black dress, and Petr wore light pants and a black t-shirt.

The day ended with a dinner at the seafood restaurant La Veranda dei Pescatori on the shores of Como.

Quietly, without haste, noise, or unnecessary fuss, by the shores of one of Italy’s most beautiful lakes, enjoying the beauty of the landscape, delicious food, and each other – their special day went exactly as they had wished.

Symbolic Wedding on Lake Como

Margo and Yaroslav: The Wedding and Honeymoon of Dreams

We have all seen at least one of the many romantic movies where the main characters meet, fall in love at first sight, talk all night long, and from that moment on, never part. “This doesn’t happen in real life!” you might say. And you’d be wrong. It does happen! And the story of Margarita and Yaroslav proves it.

Their love story could have started back in their student years, as they both studied at the same faculty in the same university, but they never met during all their years of study. However, you can’t escape destiny! After graduation, they accidentally met online, and the rest was like a movie! They met in a pub and talked until morning.

Margo and Yaroslav decided to get married in Russia, but hold a symbolic ceremony for just the two of them in Italy, so that the very next day they could set off on their honeymoon across Europe.

The groom and bride’s morning began in a room with a panoramic view of Lake Como at the Royal Victoria Hotel in Varenna. The couple wanted to spend this morning together, without rushing, enjoying every moment of this special day. Margarita carefully thought out her look not only for the ceremony but also for a pajama photo session. The photos turned out to be very tender and incredibly stylish!

The weather in Como this April was quite capricious, it was pretty cold and it rained often. We, along with the couple, were very worried about the weather, but fortunately, on the wedding day, the lake gods smiled upon us and the bad weather was called off.

The newlyweds decided to make their symbolic ceremony not just a regular one, but to include an element of play. We prepared for them a special romantic quest, which was designed to show just how well they really know each other. And the couple, of course, passed the task brilliantly, as expected! While Margo and Yaroslav made their way to the ceremony venue, they answered questions from our quest, laughed, kissed, and of course, took many photos.

For their symbolic wedding, they chose one of the most beautiful villas on Como – Villa Monastero. Here, on the open veranda with a view of the most beautiful of Italian lakes, they exchanged wedding vows, rings, and once again said “Yes!” to each other. The place and time were chosen intentionally – Yaroslav proposed to Margo on a yacht at sunset, so the water and the time of day hold special significance for the couple.

After the ceremony and photo session, the newlyweds went to a cozy bar to celebrate their love with some Italian sparkling prosecco. And next, they enjoyed a luxurious one-hour boat ride on Como with prosecco and light snacks.

In the evening, the boat brought the beautiful couple straight to the hotel, where they changed and then went to a restaurant for a wedding dinner for two. The next day, they took their luggage and headed to Venice, which Margo adores. Their next stops on their honeymoon journey were Florence, Rome, and Paris. This is how their intimate Italian wedding smoothly transitioned into the honeymoon of their dreams.

Thank you so much, without you, none of this would have happened! All the fears were dissipated and we just enjoyed the process 🥰

We fulfilled the dream of a wedding in Italy! Marina and Svetlana had a clear wedding ceremony preparation plan and followed it according to schedule, all our wishes were taken into account and even more, they were always in touch with us. Even in the conditions of deteriorating weather, everything was perfectly planned, and we only have unforgettable emotions without the stress. They not only helped us with the wedding but also offered guided tours and gave valuable recommendations about Italy. Thank you!

Symbolic Wedding in Italy

Inna and Ivan: A Quest Photo Tour of Rome with Don Amore

Love is often compared to a mystery that not everyone is destined to solve. A feeling that sometimes comes unexpectedly, taking over our entire being, revealing unexplored corners of the soul within us.

Love cannot be limited by pure knowledge, examined through a magnifying glass, or carefully organized to try to comprehend it with the mind. Can logic help answer the question of how exactly the heart finds its other half? What kind of magic connects kindred souls among many others? And is it true that marriages are made in heaven?

Inna and Ivan's Wedding in Rome

Inna and Ivan's Wedding in Rome

On the lively streets of the Eternal City, which for millennia has brought many hearts together, one can find answers – in the waters of the Trevi Fountain, which magically help one find love, or in the alleys of the colorful Trastevere, near the majestic ancient ruins, or in the enjoyment of the tastiest Roman pizza.

The very name “Rome,” like a box with a secret, contains love (Roma = AmorE).  The young couple, Inna and Ivan, embarked on a journey to open this box together. They celebrated their wedding in Rome, walking hand in hand through the streets and squares, discovering step by step the recipes for a happy family life and the history of the Eternal City as a place where true love resides❤️.

Inna and Ivan met during driving school classes and fell in love with each other. Inna – a girl not only blessed with beauty but also possessing extraordinary inner qualities. Ivan – caring, kind, a true man and the family’s support. The couple enjoys both quiet cozy evenings at home and exciting activities outside, including long-distance trips to cheerful music.

Both active and energetic by nature, Inna and Ivan wanted their wedding to be a bright, emotional, and memorable event for them as a couple. And that’s exactly how it turned out, as the task was solved with the help of WowItaly – an agency that not only organizes weddings in Italy but also exciting romantic quests in the Eternal City.

A beautiful sunny day, September 13, 2023. Inna and Ivan stayed in the very heart of Rome, near the Altare della Patria and Capitol Hill, designed by Michelangelo himself. The day began with a leisurely breakfast and traditional preparations of the bride and groom.

Meeting his beloved on a Roman street, Ivan was left speechless – his Inna was stunningly beautiful in an elegant wedding dress that hugged her slender figure.

After the photo session-meeting, the couple received a letter from Don Amore himself – the godfather of all couples who have sealed their love in Rome. Inna and Ivan had to find the secret ingredients for a long and happy family life, which truly exist in Italy – a country with strong family values and traditions, where respect and love are at the core of everything.

To keep the intrigue, we cannot reveal all the details of how the romantic quest proceeds. But we can try to convey its atmosphere. Hand in hand, Inna and Ivan leisurely walked through Rome, exploring both world-famous and nearly unknown tourist sights, finding hidden clues and secret messages from Don Amore. To complete the quest, one doesn’t need encyclopedic knowledge – all the answers can be found right here, on the ancient cobblestone streets and squares of the Eternal City, and in conversations with its friendly locals.

Inna and Ivan, following tradition, threw coins into the crystal-clear waters of the Trevi Fountain and made wishes that will surely come true. Nearby is the Fountain of Lovers. Unlike the monumental and grandiose Trevi, it is not the most noticeable or the most beautiful, but it is special for those who truly love…

At the Roman fountains with long “noses,” Inna and Ivan learned to drink “the Roman way.” Near the luxurious Baroque church, famous for its “false dome,” the couple worked as a real family team to get another clue from Don Amore. At the ancient structure from the time of Emperor Augustus, our heroes learned more about the traditions of strong Italian families and enjoyed the tastiest Roman pizza.

Thus, step by step, leisurely and at their own pace in true Italian style, Inna and Ivan found all the necessary ingredients for family happiness and opened the box, which… However, we will leave this secret just for the two of them.

And when dusk fell on Rome, and the soft golden light enveloped the facades of buildings and ancient monuments, on one of the secret squares, Inna and Ivan, unable to hold back happy tears, exchanged touching vows of love and loyalty. It is in these pre-sunset moments that Rome truly reveals its romantic side.

The symbolic wedding ceremony ended with a photo session with sparklers. The fire – the soul and heart – blazed in the hearth of the new family.

As Ivan Turgenev wrote, the mysteries of human life are great, and love is the most inaccessible of these mysteries.

Inna and Ivan managed to lift the veil on this mystery. Together, hand in hand, with the help of Don Amore and the great power of mutual love, they searched for and found the ingredients of family happiness. The wedding adventure in Rome will forever remain in their hearts and memories, just as the Eternal City witnessed the beginning of a strong and happy family union.
