On May 13, in the leap year of 2024, despite all the superstitions, our official wedding in Italy took place! A huge thank you to the team for making our dream wedding come true.
The official ceremony was probably the most touching part of the day, and it included several special highlights unique to our wedding:
- The ceremony was conducted in Italian, where they read us the key marriage laws, congratulated us, and sent us off into our happy life together.
- Our wedding dance took place right after the ceremony to the live sound of a violin—it was absolutely magical!
- We gifted the mayor a traditional Russian Matryoshka doll and chocolate, and in return, we received handcrafted souvenirs with our initials—such a thoughtful and touching gesture!
- In Italy, weddings are a special celebration, and no one stays indifferent. Around 15 people were taking photos and recording videos of our ceremony! As we walked through Bellagio after the ceremony, people congratulated us, clapped, and even asked to take pictures with us, making the day feel even more festive!
Our amazing and highly professional organizers, @wowitaly_events, told us during the planning process that **Lake Como is best seen from the water**—and they were absolutely right! The breathtaking color of the water, the stunning historic villas surrounding us, and the magical Italian atmosphere made it an unforgettable experience.
Looking at these photos, I still can’t believe we experienced such a fairytale!
