In South Korea there is a lovely tradition: many couples arrange a separate photoshoot long before the wedding or the day before the official ceremony. Although this custom does not require any specific location or format, for many Korean couples it is a chance to capture the “before the wedding” chapter, choose beautiful looks and create photographs that can later be used for invitations or wedding announcements.

When Jin and Jessica decided to get married, they realised that for their pre wedding story they wanted something truly special. And they chose the Eternal City to give each other a promise of love and devotion.

Their story

Jin and Jessica met back in school and have been together for fifteen years. Every gesture and every look between them reflects care and tenderness. Watching them feels like watching a romantic Korean drama, the kind that makes you believe time has no power over true feelings.

“Fifteen years have passed without us even noticing. I still remember the excitement of our first meeting. Thank you for always being by my side, for supporting and inspiring me,” Jin would say during the ceremony.

Not the tourist’s Rome, but a personal and heartfelt story

The couple did not want the classic tourist shots. Yes, they were in Rome, but could they skip the Colosseum? Absolutely. The Eternal City has more than two thousand years of history and knows how to surprise.

We began the preparations with the most important detail: the place where they would stay. Instead of well known hotels, we suggested a palace. Palazzo Talia is tucked away in the historic centre of Rome, between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. It was built in the sixteenth century for the secretary of Pope Leo X and served for many years as a private residence. Today it is a small hotel that blends Renaissance interiors with modern comfort. It was exactly the kind of elegant, historic atmosphere Jin and Jessica dreamed of for their wedding morning.

A heartfelt ceremony for two

For the ceremony we offered the couple something other than a popular panoramic terrace. Those places may have views, but they lack privacy. The couple dreamed of a beautiful location, elegant and slightly elevated, where their cherished words would be spoken. And we found such a place — Villa Celimontana. This park is located almost in the heart of Rome, yet far from the noise. Under the whisper of leaves, inside a neo Gothic chapel from the late nineteenth century, Jin and Jessica exchanged their vows:

“They say love is not destiny but a choice. And today, tomorrow and in all the days to come, I choose you without hesitation. Every day becomes special because you are near. Your smile is my happiness, your dream has become my goal. When you are with me, no time or change can frighten me. Let us walk through life together.”

It felt as if the ceremony was not just a beautiful event but a true promise and the beginning of a new chapter. After that it was time to enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Eternal City. The couple drove through Roman streets in a vintage car, received congratulations and soaked in the sunset over St Peter’s Basilica.

Jin and Jessica’s wedding turned out deeply heartfelt. No crowds, no typical tourist clichés, but with a true feeling of Rome, its history and themselves. They will remember this day as their own, beautifully unique.
