Symbolic Wedding in Italy

Alina and Dmitry, Symbolic Wedding in Sicily. Perfection of Elegance and Refinement

Alina and Dmitry dreamed of uniting their hearts during the hottest time of summer when the sun shines as brightly as their feelings for each other…

Mid-August in Italy is the hottest season, a time for relaxation and slow enjoyment of life, or as the Italians say, “dolce far niente.” Therefore, we suggested to our young couple from Moscow to spend their most important day by the sea, on the beautiful island of Sicily, where the sea breeze surrounds you with its lightness and brings joy, while the stunning nature and breathtaking views capture you at first sight.

The bride and groom started their journey from the island’s capital, Catania, and the day before the wedding, they had to make their way to Taormina. On the famous Ferragosto holiday, which is celebrated in Italy on August 15, this idea seemed nearly impossible. But not in Sicily – the locals are known for their hospitality and kind nature. Right at the local bar, they offered them a car, and soon they were at their destination!

Almost like true Sicilian aristocrats, Alina and Dmitry chose a stunning XVI-century villa for their stay. From their room window, they had an incredible view of Isola Bella – a small island off the eastern coast of Sicily, near Taormina. The island is rightly named, as even the German photographer Baron Wilhelm von Glöden called it the “pearl of the Mediterranean.”

The symbolic wedding ceremony took place in the heart of Sicily – the ancient city of Taormina, surrounded by mountains and the sea.

Even if fate gives you only one day in Sicily, spend it in Taormina!

The lovers exchanged vows of fidelity, incredibly touching and tearful. Indeed, these were not just words – even Dmitry, a tall and determined man, shed a tear and was genuinely emotional. That’s right – our ceremonies can even move James Bond! 😊

For their wedding photoshoot and a stroll through the picturesque surroundings, the couple had at their disposal an elegant Excalibur from 1939, which made them look even more like characters from a movie.

The serpentine road along the coast led Alina and Dmitry to the Madonna della Rocca Church, carved directly into the rock. This church was built in a small cave back in the 12th century and later restored in the early 17th century. It is located on the slope of Mount Tauro, which rises above the city, so it offers an incredibly beautiful panoramic view. Part of its ceiling is directly made of the rock, giving it a unique atmosphere.
We took several shots in this church, and we did not regret it: the enchanting, truly divine light highlighted Alina’s delicate and refined figure, and her dress perfectly matched the décor and patterns on the walls.

The couple’s first dance took place under the Sicilian sun at the top of Taormina, with views of Mount Etna and the island’s stunning nature, just as the couple had dreamed. Now this place will remain in their hearts forever, and they in ours.
At sunset, the couple decided to take a walk around the town, enjoying its bohemian atmosphere and elegant streets. Yes, how many writers, artists, and other aristocrats have lived and visited Taormina — it leaves no one indifferent! Some locals were lucky too, as Alina’s wedding bouquet was given to a beautiful Sicilian woman!

The next day, Alina and Dmitry traveled to Rome and Florence, where they spent their brief Italian vacation. Just five days later, our dynamic newlyweds returned to their native Moscow and soon enjoyed stunning photos from their wedding day, where every detail was truly magnificent.

Once again, we wanted to thank everyone who organized such a fantastic day for us 😍 We are still in awe, everything was perfect. We spent it exactly as we wanted! You are wonderful professionals and lovely people.
