Villa Monastero is located in the province of Lecco (Lombardy region) on the shores of the famous Lake Como. The complex consists of the villa itself, which has been transformed into a museum, an international conference center, and a luxurious botanical garden.

For your ceremony, you can choose one of the villa’s halls or the open terrace. The landscaped park is perfect for your wedding photoshoot. The picturesque landscapes with views of Lake Como provide the best backdrop for the most important day of your life!

The history of Villa Monastero spans nine centuries. Originally, a female monastery of the Cistercian order stood here, built at the end of the 12th century. When it was closed in 1567, it was bought by the Mornico family and converted into a villa, which was named Leliana (Villa Leliana). In the 19th century, the villa changed owners several times, with each one renovating it, resulting in its current eclectic appearance.

In 1939, the villa became state-owned, and in 2003, a museum was opened on its grounds, which is visited by over 64,000 visitors annually. The 14 fully furnished halls retain their original decorations and furniture.
